Great haul for Toff. Loved him in the past year, but sadly we're not gonna contend for a couple of year, best thing that could happen to him and to the Habs !
This is a straight-up GOOD trade for both sides. Toffolli is an excellent winger (with a cap friendly contract), and the Habs got a good (fair) return.
Good deal for both sides, Flames going all in and Montreal assuming the rebuild
Calgary wins this just from the fact that they won't have to have Brett Richie in their lineup anymore.
Flames are legit, I think they can win the cup this year. They got the grit and toughness to win in the playoffs. Unlike my leafs who I don’t think will go anywhere in the playoffs.

This is why I don't watch these guys, they have no concept of what is good or bad in hockey. If toffoli was going to a flames team that might not make the playoffs it would be a bad trade for calgary. The flames are dangerous before this trade was made, bringing in toffoli has made them a threat to every team In the NHL now meaning they are serious cup contenders. The first round pick is going to be a 26th or higher pick. Pitlick I am more than happy to see gone, hienamen is currently unsigned and has unknown potential. Montreal got screwed hard by tre.
this was such a W for the flames and a solid return for Montreal. Didn’t touch any of the flames good prospects, they’ll enjoy the first and Pitlick isn’t even good thank god for the cap dump. He has 2 points in 25 games not sure why people think it’s that big of a haul 😂
Toffoli is also perfect fit in Calgary. He is right wing scorer. Knows Sutter’s system, friends with half the team/played with in LA and Vancouver mony from junior. It’s a perfect trade for both teams.
Also he will go on the 3rd line second line chemistry has been perfect and I don’t think there going to break that up.
If you think about it, Calgary gave up 2 firsts a 4th and 5th. Since Bennett was traded for the Prospect they traded
a low 1st, 5th, a B tier prospect and a cap dump

Montreal picked up toffolli as a free agent 1.5 seasons ago and flip him after having an amazing year for 1st ,2nd 5th and a throw in !! Excellent deal for Montreal
Calgary win the deal right now.. Deep for the playoff.. But canadians win in the furture.. In a few years.. Pitlick not bad for a 4th line
