  1. Isle type 3-2 win. Keep the opponent under 3 goals they usually win. Even got 2 pts. from bo and a pp goal. Still no excuse for giving up 40 + shots-47-once again. Isles are relying on sorokin to save their bacon too much. That may work against sens. Not against the better teams as av's proved. Clean that shit up lane. And nice to see pierre contributing-0 g 2 a 1 hit so far. All fwds. except for 13 and 10 also with 1 have more hits.
5 sog. Fewer than 13, 14, 27, 21, 8, 29, 28, 6, 3, 15. Just as many as 53, 17. To think that spot could be filled by an actual contributer who does more than just 'skate real fast'. Can't stomach 10, 18 when they are on the ice. And look closely-isles at 3-2-1 aren't even in a playoff spot. And can't expect another 5-0 vs. bjs this season with cat and wings on mon. night.

  2. Islanders were heavy favorites on the Money Line though Kraken nearly had a nice upset for their line. When it was 2 nothing Matt Martin drops the gloves only for them to have reverse momentum. Quck getting a 29 save Shut Out to help Carry Rangers or Penguins win over Colorado. Metro is not going to be easy as even Capitals won over Devils heh. Pelech hopefully can get himself on track or will be the next PK Subban who went from Norris with 9M to Retired. Even Hickey was around the same age like 30ish after being Folk Hero with that OT goal over Florida Panthers heh. Team really could use a Goal Scorer I guess Eberle was RW? If had somebody with Bo or Barzal who could get 40ish. Barzal had a bad play in 3rd then passed to Dobson for that GWG. Too many penalties. Clutter clean hit but both teams only used 5 D :). Glad Won :).

  3. We need to play “Penalty-Free” hockey. They better play their next games with NO PENALTIES. Oh and as for the jackets, they’re in the middle of a rebuild.

  4. They're lucky they didn't allow another four PP goals like the Devils game. Not sure about Lambert, they don't seem to listen to him.

  5. You should do a show on Pinto and gamblers in pro sports. Like Burke pointed out last night the Sens are sponsored by a gambling site! Seems silly to me. Anyway 2nd period was fun right kids? We are that much dumber after that experience. If it was a better team they would have paid a price. Positives, PP looks ok. Getting better. Barzel can look so good then so bad in the same shift. Some questionable passing. Dobson over came some bad decisions to score in the 3rd to save the day. Lambert is asleep!

  6. Good morning gil😮we won 🎉it’s going to be a long season with up and down. I hope the player for the other team is okay ❤ enjoy the weekend and it’s going to be warm out.

  7. After the back to back to back penalty. I had to turn the game off. Glad they won but it was a horrible game

  8. Again sloppy game. Still early. Just clean up the penalties and tighten up defense team is dangerous. We can skate with anyone and we're playing terrible defense currently. Just want better defense for sorkin. He deserves better.

  9. Isles won but they’re hard to watch. I honestly don’t see them getting any higher than MAYBE and a big MAYBE a sixth seed going into playoffs. Amazing this team is so close to salary cap yet a team like the maple leafs have so many stars. I don’t know how long this roster is going to last but to me the next step is a rebuild… once again. Don’t want to be a Debbie downer but this team is in trouble

  10. I guess theyre afraid of their 7m capt being reduced to a 4th liner…I've been saying to put Palmieri with Barvat

  11. The Islanders were really fortunate last night to get the win. I still believe they need to find a way to get Julien Gauthier in the lineup, as they really need the speed in today's game. Obviously, this penalty thing has got to stop!

  12. Sorokin is played 5 of 6 games. In the last 4 games they have given up 126 shots. 41.5 shots per game. Sorokin sees too much rubber to play 60 games. He will wear out by March if this keeps up.

  13. It's hard to see much positive in that game. Taking a bunch of penalties and giving up a pile of prime chances isn't a winning formula. The PP scored, but it's still dysfunctional. I guess the silver lining is they didn't dump the puck in the corner during the PP, something I've seen them do a few times this year. I caught Barzal reverting to some bad habits in the D-zone. He hangs near the blue line waiting for someone to retrieve the puck and send him on a breakaway. I saw him a few times doing the slow skate, half assed poke check attempts a couple of times. He's clearly more concerned with staying in position for a breakaway. Even on the rush, he seemed slower than usual.
Lane nailed it on the penalties. It's a function of getting beat. The scary part is this team has too many players with a sluggish first step, and they are getting beat.

On a side note, I would like the league to do something about all the 'step over his stick and get a tripping call' crap going on. It's intentional, and some teams practice that kind of thing. It isn't an excuse for all the penalties the Isles are taking, but I saw it twice last night. The Isles player stick is reaching out, in comes a Sen to step one foot over it and trap it for the tripping call when the right move is to sweep the stick out of the way. Call a trip and an embellishment and that cheap sheet will be less frequent.
