  1. Y'all should try and book Dr. David Black from Dalhousie University. He's a Political Scientist with an expertise in Sports and Politics and is an expert in the economics of sport.

  2. Once again, to correct an uneducated point about the Red Wings… Holl got health scratched because they have been going between 12/6 and 11/7, because they have 7 NHL-caliber defensemen, unlike the Leafs.

Also, Holl is a +8, tied for 1st in the league.

  3. Adam I’m disappointed in you, you should know better than to use Mark “why are you so pissy Leon” Spector as a credible source for Oilers news.
You guys normally do a good job representing the Oilers but coke on man going with a Spec article really???!

  4. 46:35 worth noting the Wings kinda have a weird roster where they currently have 3 goalies up (they don't think they can fit Lyon through waivers) and have been going 11-7 mainly. So they've kinda been taking one of the non Seider-Walman dmen and healthy scratching them at times if they want to see 12-6 formations. There's kinda a feeling that they are keeping all the dmen even if it makes things awkward because Beggren and Soderblom are waiver exempt so they're essentially on taxi squad status and are easier to plug in than Edvinsson is at the moment (if they call him up he's probably just staying up that that point).

  5. Maple leafs attendance always hovers at the average of just over 19k mike babcock era did nothing to change that it was the same b4 that of not better

  6. Yep, Couldn't Afford to play growing up. I'm a year older than you guys and it 500$ for house league where I grew up. BUT you could get a Canadian tire hockey stick for like 12$ that and skates from play it again sports and the public rink Shiny hours was all the hockey I played. hockey has been marketed to and built around 1 sport family's and wealthy suburban families, basically the boomer generations ideals. It's gotta change.

  7. Agree that Reave's should go out and take out the player after the hit. However, he is also directed the way he responds by the coach. He, you, and everyone in the arena may feel the same way in that he needs to send the message that it won't happen again, but if his coach is telling him to not do that, or go take a normal shift and not cost the team a penalty, then he's at the mercy of that coach.

  8. Buffalo is not very wealthy within the city limits. The people who can afford to go live in the suburbs and a lot of these games are late on week nights. Plus the team hasn't made the playoffs since 2011 😂

  9. That budget stick company putting the name and number on your stick is badass. A kid will be so excited!

  10. Nov 1, 2003 Hall of Fame game vs the Flyers, I paid $174 to sit in last row of golds near the Flyers left corner, while in my first year of college to see the Leafs lose 7-1 (the train ride back to school was lovely since my college roommate was a Flyers fan and chirped all the way back to Oshawa). Most nights, you have a hard time paying that amount for somewhere in the 300s on a non-Saturday night now. Most tickets available for any event are through the secondary market and prices are getting way out of hand. It's becoming more difficult to try and attend one game per year.

  11. Here is my wild Canadian border crossing. I had to bring a broken home made laser across into the states and get it fixed and bring it back to Canada. Crossing into the USA took no time at all, no questions asked other than what's that thing, I say a broken laser going to XYZ to get it fixed and bring it back. On the way back I got denied my first time because the home made laser made at XYZ doesn't have enough documentation to it. Got advice from someone to go through again but instead of a laser call it a light matter interaction device. Instantly let through, no duty charged because they couldn't figure out what to charge for a light matter interaction device

  12. I find it a little odd Adam plugged McAfee's segment a second time, because after watching it – Seems like it catered towards the exact kind of audience this show wishes hockey would distant itself from (i.e hyper masculine dudebros, laughs at inclusivity, anti masking, etc).

I get that "more people watching, is more people watching", but at the same time, especially around the conversation of the Pride Nights discussion, that this sort of audience would further push the NHL backwards in those aspects than forwards.

  13. I like Knies on the second line. His game meshes well with JT's and it gets him more minutes. Domi has struggled so let him figure it out in the bottom six for now. Maybe get some sort of chemistry going with a few guys.

  14. Am i allowed to feel my feelings if I don't wanna wear the pride jersy cause I care about bigger things in life like homelessness and drug epidemics that liberals are ignoring?

  15. Adam it's because people are so used to being lied to by legacy media and the government that now anything from "verified sources" is fake news to people and that's why random alternative sources are so much more prominent.

That's what happens when you lose the trust of the people

  16. Campbell's positioning was fine, as a goalie, yeah, you kinda have to go wide and use your stick to cover five hole.
