  1. With how bad the leafs defense has been it won't matter over the psan of a few games

  2. Hockey media always trying to paint a picture of teams being in a crisis….Oilers mainly tripped over individual mistakes and having people coming back from injury not quite being up to speed. On top of that McDavid seemed to be nursing something way before this injury, probably why they put Draisaitl back on his line (seen this the last two playoffs when one of them was injured they put them on a line together). Best thing they can do is let him recover fully and you’ll see the McDavid of last season again when he came out of the gate scoring like no tomorrow. In the meantime it’s everyone else’s opportunity to step up and have a little more confidence not always looking to pass to McDavid but create something on their own. I’m looking forward to seeing Draisaitl at his best. With him it can go two ways. He either goes nuclear puts the team on his back and skates harder than ever or he gets frustrated. I expect he does the former. And now enjoy hockey for what it is. The best sport on earth.

  3. I'm sure the rest of the roster can just try to emulate what McPowerplay does, and fall on they arses as soon as they get breathed on.

Fish for them powerplays, they should be fine if they get six or more and manage to convert at least half of them.

  4. Even if the oilers can score away their problems, they still have serious issues between the pipes and contrary to popular belief Skinner and Campbell are not Vezina pedigree.

  5. Good teams can overcome 1-2 week injury to their top players.

All the freaking out here is eitber premature, or telling.

  6. Love how Evander has grown and mature in Edmonton. I think he really found where he fits best

  7. Yes. These reporters are just idiots. They don’t deserve to be that close to the players

  8. The oilers coach does not look like someone I'd want to follow.. That's just me..

  9. Oilers still have the best player in the league. Leon will win most goals most points most assists and be league mvp. He will shine while rainbow tape mcdavid recovers

  10. Calgary should trade Hanifin to Vancouver for Garland one for one, both exact same cap 😎
