Almost fucking had it
Disappointed with the result obviously, and giving up a 2 goal lead, but I thought the Kings hung with Vegas pretty well for large stretches of the game. They did well to battle back when they needed to and get a point out of this one in the end. Vegas is just a great team, this could have gone much worse for us.
We played pretty good tonight, just have these moments where they decide to play really stupid. Like going end to end vs Vegas when controlling play was working so well..
PP struggles continue, Kempe my man. We need you.
Fuck shootouts
Just assume any game that goes to a shootout is a loss.

We’ve played 4 good teams this season. Lost every time.
We are looking like a very middle of the pack team that will best bad teams and lose against everyone who puts up a real fight.
Edit: down votes be damned, we’ve had 4 games against teams .500 or under and won all 4. We’ve lost every other game. When we beat an above .500 team I’ll acknowledge it, but we haven’t yet.
It’s hard to be upset. 3 out of 4 points is good. The way The Kings got there could be better but you can’t play your A game every single time. At least we know the Kings won’t just fold and give up next time they are behind.
Score be damned, Kings still showed the fight. Plenty to fix and tighten up but when the lines start clicking we are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Huge games from QB and some killer saves from talbot. GKG!!!

A regulation loss would’ve had me in a much worse mood, so I’ll be happy with the one point. Especially after playing a couple of the worst periods of the season so far. GKG
Silver lining: after two games of coming out flat and surrendering the first goal to an inferior team, we fixed our first-period problems, and got the first score while blanking Vegas for a full period. Obviously things broke down later, but this proves that the guys are able to make adjustments, and that gives me hope that they’ll be able to address the lackluster PP and figure out how to win a shootout.
Good effort considering back-to-backs suck. They were gassed by the end. Onto to the next game.
Todd needs to figure out this powerplay yesterday.

Great hockey game. You hate to see it end in a shootout. I thought the boys played a good game against a great team, and that’s all you can really ask for. 4th line was great and the PK was good again. Feels like Kempe is about to go off… can’t believe he didn’t score on the drive in OT. Spence was really good, I thought…
PP needs work. Vegas is great on D, but yeah. Missing Arvy on the PP big time. I’ll take the point, but for the 1000th time, abolish the shootout. GKG
Thought it was over when they couldn’t do anything on the double minor. But to force then to OT? I mean eh at least we are taking the Stanley Cup champs into deep water

I know it’s still a good sign that we’re being competitive against teams like vegas, but they really need some of these games against higher end competition to start going their way if they actually want to be contenders. Obviously still early but in their 4 wins so far their opponents have had a record of 10-10-3 while their opponents in losses have been 27-5-2

No one should be disappointed with that loss. That was an excellent game of hockey. Goals, strong defense, and great goaltending from both sides. That was playoff level hockey right there that any neutral fan would love to watch. We’ve shown that we can hang with the leagues best. Took essentially a coin toss to decide that one. I’m very optimistic to see what this squad will develop into over the course of this season.
Side note. Cam Talbot has been a beast so far and has been very pleasantly surprising. He needs to get his flowers for how solid he’s been in net.
Not the result I wanted being up 2-0 but gotta give it to Vegas for hustling. It was a clean hard worked game by both teams.
Other teams get smacked by the Knights but we stole a point from them, one of the best teams in the NHL right now. If we learn from our loss, we’re a better team for it. Gonna take this 1-point ‘W’ and move on.
