  1. Already watched this but had to dissagree with craigs comment of "for anyone to suggest it wasnt a freak accident is irresponsible" i have watched hockey for 30 plus years and have never seen anything like that, also the police are investigating are they irresponsible?

  2. Refs can't admit fault or everyone will complain about every penalty. Craig Button understands nothing.

  3. 5:20 Look, I know I'm not always right. I'm willing to be wrong, because it's out of my control. But I bet if I could figure out where I commented on a video somewhere in August, I could find the comment I made about how I didn't see the Flames making the playoffs at all. Huberdeau didn't have a weak season because of the coach. He had a weak season because he was no longer surrounded by a great team like he was in Florida. And Kadri ain't getting younger. I MOCKED talking heads for claiming the Flames were a better team with these two over Gaudreau and Tkachuk. And holy hell was I right. A rebuild is likely the only solution now.

8:18 What's interesting about the Canucks this year is the new system. It's a team with 18-23 different players (including goalies and press box dwellers), each having to learn the new system. Some will catch on faster than others. Every game they play, they'll be getting more comfortable with that system until it becomes second nature. And if it's a good system, they don't have as many changes to make as people claim they do.

  4. Occupational hazards are unacceptable in the NHL or any hockey league. It is time to protect the hockey players when we have never learned from the freaky accidents of Malarchuck as well as Zednick's.

  5. Refs are like cops, they don't admit to mistakes ever. If that ref in the corner couldn't see that trip he needs glasses.

  6. I think neck guards need to be made mandatory. While I don't agree that the government needs to step in to mandate this, Button was right that kids grow up knowing that it is a part of their equipment. In BC, you cannot play in a game of minor hockey if you don't wear your neck guard. From Clint Malarchuk's gruesome accident to the recent Adam Johnson death… the accidents are preventable! If hockey associations are not willing to do this, the hockey community (players, parents and fans) need to put the pressure on.

(English hockey association has just made neck guards mandatory for 2024 – North America need to do the same)

  7. Please.. it was a horrible accident that rarely happens. Let’s not bubble wrap and shelter in place for every tragedy.

  8. markstrom lol & skinner for that matter niether of them can not do the splits enough to place the legs post to post on 2 on 1s skinner usally ends up on his arse and marky flops his leg out leaving a gap in the pads & ice marky also bad on distant shots both goalies need to change there style edm is not even a contender until they get a good athletic goalie thats takes away the lower end of the net like quick & shesterkin By the way button nucks are on a 110 point pace but i see 100 points 4 sure
