Every time LA centred the puck, they had a wide open man there to tap it in. Every time we centred it, our guys were tied up. At least it felt that way, and that was the difference.

  2. RestartNick

People paid money to see this game. I watched it on my TV for free and I’m pissed.

  3. cappo40

Boston is gonna fuck our ass so hard on Thursday

  4. MaplewoodCabinet

The buds went as the 2015-2016 Leafs for Hallowe’en. Spooky.

    **Matthews First 2 GP:** 6 G / 0 A & +3

    **Matthews Last 7 GP:** 1 G / 3 A & -4

    In the last 7 games he has just 0 G / 2 A @ 5v5. His line has produced pretty much nothing…

  6. StaticR0ute

Well that was certainly a game of hockey

  7. TheLoomingMoon

Nylander and Woll deserve better than Keefe.

  8. one-percent

Leafs were a much better team last year, bet they’d love a do over on Klingberg/Bertuzzi contracts

  9. nownowthethetalktalk

That was one of the worst Leafs games I’ve seen in a while.

  10. Minimum_One_2195

Willy’s been great. Reilly’s been great. Tavares has been great. Woll has been great. Barring a couple of exceptions, everyone else has been downright bad.

  11. CasualtyEH

Domi needs to take a seat for a game or two and have a youngster called up. Guy is a disaster.

  12. IntellectualFella

Frustrating game. No fight in the Leafs tonight and no literal fight all season. We were told it’ll be different this year, but LA was chirping all night, but no Leaf except Max tried to shut them up.

Why allow a team to shit on you in your own building and do nothing about it?

  13. dwnumber1

Man I don’t wish bad for players but I hope Klinger continues this play so he’s out of the lineup and we can try topi or something. Also top line has been terrible like calle is worse than kerf at skating and doing nothing, marner is not in form. Man what a trash game.

  14. Significant_News_638

Lack of offense ? Nick Robertson – come on down !!

  15. Reggae4Triceratops

Nylander deserved to keep that streak going, ~~dang~~

    Edit: oh

  16. Camarama421

I’d like to see them start Knies on the Matthews line in Boston, I thought he looked really strong tonight but was being held back by his linemates

  17. DontToewsM3Bro

Oh the shitty leafs at again

  18. mikez56

I sentence Sheldon Keefe to sniffing the team’s skates and sweaty socks.

  19. SendThisGuyToMars

    Marner is MIA.

Just about every contract Brad signed looks bad to awful

  20. bemiguel13

Imagine being Mitch Marner, with your pathetic start to the season, with your shrinking in almost every playoff game you’ve played in, with your inabiltiy to drive superstar production 5v5, with your muffin of a shot…

and going home tonight thinking how you deserve 13M$ and to « pay me like Matthews ». We all know its coming. What an absolute bitch. We will never ever win with Mitch Marner and his overpaid bad attitude. Sooner front offices realises he’s Demarner and ships him for a top Dman the better.

  21. CamThompson

Really flat game overall. I thought Willy, JT, and Rielly all looked pretty good and energetic, but the Matthews line was non-existent and we really struggled to generate anything offensively. Bertuzzi falls down way too often, and Domi doesn’t generate enough offensively to make up for being a huge liability defensively and poorly disciplined. Woll was fine, not his best but a pretty average showing. I wouldn’t really call this an outright disaster, we didn’t get caved in or brutally outplayed for the most part, just a mid-week, early season dud.

It’s a long season, you’re going to have games like this. Better showing against Boston on Thursday hopefully.

  22. BuzzOff2011

They didn’t just mail it in, they mailed it in via carrier pigeon which proceeded to shit all over our cars

  23. CTHT07

Keefe is the most predictable coach in the league. No wonder we get shit on every playoffs.

  24. Affectionate_Rent921

Whole team sucked but man I hate bertuzzi. Seems like such a lazy fucker, worst skater I’ve seen in a leafs jersey since the Burke years (aside from reeves). Horrible penalties. No grit. Whats the point in being a douchebag if you are softer than Marner?

  25. ArthasCousland

I think what pisses me off most is that Keefe is going to continue trying to roll Marner with Matthews when they have zero chemistry this season.

  26. MrGengar15

I swear Keefe takes forever to make certain changes. Like it’s into the third period and finally he’s switching around some players that aren’t working. Or other things like only having Mo’ back on PP1 now, after so many bad Klingberg moments on PP1. IDK, he sticks to some frustrating decisions sometimes..

  27. Booboo_McBad

    No grit

    No forward depth

No defensemen after Reilly McCabe Liljegren (Everyone else has better 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th dmen)

Same problems that they haven’t even come close to resolving since 2018

  28. CMDRShepardN7

So, Willy has sole possession of longest point streak by a Leaf to start the season?

  29. Seaman_34

We looked really sloppy but decent in preseason ( the main nhl lines) but since the season started everyone but are core players just seem like they lost chemistry fast. I’m very surprised by the play thus far. Bottom 6 just looks aimless and ineffectual( knies shows he can be on the top 6)

  30. Francis33

We lost to the best offense In The NHL tonight

  31. Sportfreunde

Should’ve traded Marner for a dman like 2 seasons ago.

  32. Skiffy10

First Hyman on that first line didn’t produce that much then left to Edmonton and is miles better than he was here. Bunting had a good first season on the first line then couldn’t replicate it the second year. Bertuzzi started with Matthews/Marner then 7 games in gets put on the second line. The guy was a monster in the playoffs for Boston just last year. Jarnkrok is there now and the line still can’t produce.

i know no one wants to hear it or talk about it, but maybe Matthews/Marner are the problem?
