JETS traded Ladd to ISLANDERS, and they re-signed him to the deal he is currently on.
Ladd was absolutely WASHED when the JETS traded him to the ISLANDERS. Ladd was captain and up coming UFA and the JETS refused to re-sign him and traded him to NYI

Vegas forfeited their share of the Kraken franchise expansion fee in order to not expose anyone, pre-arranged back when Vegas entered the league… either way, GoKraken! I'm a season ticket holder and a new hockey fan so this show has been awesome to up my hockey knowledge! Thanks boys!

Weber can't retire. Well he can, but IF he retires both Montreal and Nashville get hit by BIG recapture penalties for the rest of the years of the contract. Nashville over 5 million a year and Habs might be a couple million also. This is not like a buyout.
Recapture hurts bigtime. Look at Vancouver (CapFriendly) for Luongo they are still hit by a 3 million recapture penalty, and Florida also just over 1 million. Luongo hasn't played in 3 years and they are in the final year of the recapture penalty.
