Time for an Overhaul of the Uniforms? What do you think?
I feel like if they got rid of lettering the jersey would just be too basic. If they want to rebrand, again, it should probably be something big
Its crazy that they have changed so many times over the years. The truly iconic uniforms are simple and almost unchanged since their creation.
In order for the Canucks to end their identity crisis, these things need to happen:
1. The Orca MUST GO. Team is called "Canucks", NOT "Orcas".
2. Johnny Canuck and original Stick in Rink need to be the co-identities. One as the primary crest and the other as the secondary logo/3rd jersey crest.
3. Keep the blue & green.
4. Black '94 Skate uniform can be worn as an annual throwback.
Bottom line is this, the Orca must go. A crest is supposed to represent the team name or at least, the sport. The Canucks are an old-school sports franchise, not a 21st century one.
Don’t u feel like it would be a little weird seeing the Canucks team store (which sell every type of Canucks jersey). Having a Canucks jersey for sale with the word Vancouver beside it and one that also has an an orca with no Vancouver. People would almost feel like one is just tacky and the other one is incomplete. Just my opinion

I guess you got it right! 🙂 I´ve always felt the same. The lettering looked awkward like it was pushing the main logo too far down. Now the logo is centered over the chest, like it should be…. But I´m really a fan of the "stick in rink" logo and a perfect jersey for me would be thecurrent colordesign with the stick… I will never learn to love the orca, but with the new design I can atleast accept it…
