  1. MarvelousOxman

This « Ethan Bear » character might be helpful at the right price.

  2. PetterssonsNeck

I hear that Ethan Bear guy might be pretty good.

FR tho I’d take a gamble on PoolParty at the league minimum. Might fit in well in our bottom-6 with his size and speed

  3. ZackyGood

I can already feel the downvotes.

    Honestly. Patrick Kane.

  4. neverleavehouse

They should take a gamble on that Pinto kid

Badum tiss. I’ll see myself out

  5. EveningWrongdoer8825

Bailey if available at a bargain price

  6. Ikea_desklamp

bros, respectfully, WITH WHAT CAP SPACE

  7. JohnnyJinglo

kane, toews, bear, patrick and bailey would all be solid players to get at really good prices. patrick in particular is intriguing because hes never been healthy and could honestly become something really great if given a chance.

  8. SpectreFire

I mean, basically no chance Nolan Patrick plays again, but if by some miracle he’s able to come back, he’d definitely be top on my list.

  9. ArenSteele

10 years ago, this list is full of studs….today? Meh

  10. leftlanecop

As a Costco shareholder, I’ll take Phil Kessel to help improve sales $1.50 at a time.

  11. letstrythatagainn

    Bring turtleman home

Also Keiffer Bellows is an absolute beast PF…. in the EA games.

  12. NerdPunch

Hear me out (or downvote me)…

Find a way to move off of Beauvilliers deal, and bring in Patty Kane for a fraction of the cost.

Gives you a left shot option that can play on the ~~pk~~ PP

  13. TheMassiveDefect

I would expect they sign Bear once he’s ready.

  14. I do wonder if we end up signing Bear or not given how well Friedman has slotted in.

  15. I honestly would love getting Kessel as some potential scoring depth. Familiarity is there with Rutherford and Tocchet, and seems like an overall good guy to have around. He’ll put up points but is a defensive liability at this point, which is why he was healthy scratched through the playoffs. In a sheltered role, he could add some scoring to the bottom-6.

I’d take a look at Bear, Kane and Pinto.

Bear can be injected into the second pair and play with Cole. Bears and upgrade on Friedman, even tho he’s been good.

I’d target kane if we can move cap out (garland, myers, or beauvillier). If reports r true that Alvin wants to add to the team without trading draft picks, signing kane to a 1 year contract would be huge and if we are still in the playoff race I could see kane be entertained by the idea of playing with pettersson or Miller. Plus it would inflate his stats more for when he hits FA

    Top 6 of:

    Kuzmenko – Pettersson – Kane

    Mikheyev – Miller – Boeser

Pinto seems like he understood his mistake and he played pretty good last year. He’d come cheap and would be a great bottom 6 add.

    Obviously bear when healthy

Wouldnt mind puljujarvi at league min. Hes got excellent defensive metrics and offensive tallent that he hasnt been able to consistently put together. Id probably rather him over studnika or even beau at this point. Still young ish too

  18. superworking

Almost none of these guys are even able to play in the NHL this year.

  19. Curtis__E__Flush

I don’t see John Cena’s name on this list

  20. laundro_mat

This list is either old, slow, washed up, or injured long term. Not much to see here

  21. Seeing The Phil in a Canucks jersey.

My heart says yes, but my brain says no.

  22. Canadian96

If the Canucks trade some of their winger depth, say Beau and Garland, without replacing it, I could see a Kessel being interesting at the league minimum given his relationship with Tocchet.
