Happy birthday, buddy!! It’s all down hill from here

  2. Give it up for the fans that stuck around for the ending and were going crazy after their one goal in the dying minutes.

God that Poor Kid!! Holy Fuck I actually feel super bad for Sharks fans. Like I hate y’all and want our division rivalry to be fun and exciting, but this is just sad. I don’t want y’all to be this bad!

I’m imagining how my 10 year old self would feel.

This is how you start a love-hate relationship with a sports team, isn’t it?

I’d say, it doesn’t matter if your team loses 1-0 or 10-1, it’s only a “loss”. You move on…. Hopefully the kid will see it as this, it’s only a game…

This is the *perfect* sharks introduction. A true masterclass

Make them play ahl this team is a joke

Honestly that’s a win for him. What are the chances he ever sees his childhood team get absolutely crushed like that again in his lifetime? It’s like he got in on the ground floor and there’s nowhere to go but up.

As a Seattle sports fan in general i hope they speed the rebuild up because i need a bay area team to hate in this sport and i cant bring myself to hate them when its like this

That’s my origin story. As a Vancouver resident, my first season as a hockey fan was Messier’s first season as a Canuck. And when I finally chose a team, it was the Ducks in 2001-02. Both of those introduced me to the definition of misery.

On the plus side, I’m less prone to freaking out over the team’s failures, simply because I’ve likely seen much worse.

This is sad. I hope the sharks org sees this and makes it up to the kid somehow. My first game my hometown team won 6-2 I’ll never forget it. An experience everyone should have at least once

So I wonder what new sport that kid is going to follow.

Poor guy, last year I took my youngest to his first game.

We got shutout by the coyotes 0-4
