McAvoy hit surprised me . He is physical and everything but I haven't seen him go THAT hard at someone . I wonder if there was some back play/behind the scenes B.S between them . My financial journals state the fines end up in the NHL foundation "discretionary" fund. They are "forfeited" by franchises? They don't go to players nor safety.
Those are technically revenues that have to be shared with the franchises? 🤔

He was done in 2010, barely played after he self concussed.
The 'line' was fuzzy when he was playing. They could cross check, board players, throw hits to the head- as they cannot now.
I don't think there were many other players near 6 ft 5 inches aside from Chara either. So he was rarely picking on anyone close to his own size
I'd like an average sized hockey player – perhaps not one that played the past decade before they start the job.
