Amerks Update: last night they killed Laval 7-4, Rousek with an amazing short handed goal, Rosen continues to play so great, he’s confident, goes to the net, had a goal, and Matthew Savioe with his first Pro goal!
Kulich, Rosen and Savioe all looking great, Amerks are loaded for now.
We need Levi and Comrie back soon! Buffalo looks so much slower than NJ we need one super fast winger on this team, we have two guys on Amerks who could fill that roll. Cozens and Dahlin now both have 7 game point streaks, closing in on Gretzky’s record of 51.
How long is it going to take for Adams to see Olofsson needs to be let go, traded for whatever we can get? Anyone notice his lazy giveaway at center ice right before heading off for a change? What a listless slouch, total floater, give someone else a chance! At least they fought like hell against the empty netter, was hoping for a Patrik StefanAles Hemsky type of finish…at least they were in this one until the end. Oh well.
40 shots were allowed. I don’t see how this could be blamed on goaltending. They made multiple big saves but the 3rd period murdered us.
That last goal was Samuelsons fault… stepping infront of his own goalie to screen him and redirect the puck to an angle that’s nigh impossible to save. If I was luk I’d be pissed
Devils answered the Sabres within minutes of scoring. But the Sabres lost the game in the 3rd period.
When they give the puck away it’s a nightmare. I’m sick of the figure skating and fancy passes.

Tough to see Comrie go down, 6k needs to change his moniker to 6g, cause we need 6 goals to win if he's in net. I thought Cozens had his worst game of the year, up to the goal he scored. I was hoping for a bigger and better D addition than Clifton, but at least he hits…and F the refs I didn't see a game misconduct in that hit.
So, better effort from D and G, and the wins will pile up😊

Granato seems soft. A soft and gentle personality doesn't lead to good results for an NHL coach. I think this team needs a John Tortarella-like tongue lashing every so often.
If players are not prepared mentally or fold under pressure, sure it's up to the player to correct that but also the coach is supposed to recognize when changes need to be made (benching a player for a period; line juggling mid game; chewing someone out).
Lousy faceoff % is also a coaching issue.
This team has 5 potential point per game players (Thompson, Tuch, Skinner, Cozens, Dahlin).. 3 pretty skilled D (Dahlin, Powers, Samuelsson) and decent goaltending. The right coach would be able to get this team to perform well, consistently.
8 games in.. 10 percent of the season, and i dont think we have the group that can win games consistently. top 9 isnt deep enough, so roster spots is given to empty suits like Olofsson who seem to have lost whatever he had going on.
a trade is possible with all the assets Sabres has, but that has to come soon to mix this team up, or another season is lost. im not a happy camper. games are too meek. coaching is also questionable.

UPL actually had a better save percentage (in this game) than Vanecek.
UPL came in at 2-2 and I immediately thought, were gunna have to score 6 to win now lol
Amerks: Rosen left wing, Kulich playing center, right wing Savioe, vs Utica Comets 💫…Savioe has break away speed! Rosen is the guy I’m most impressed with wow! Ryan Johnson plays solid, great skater
Hey Wayne,is it time to start seriously shopping for a goalie we can rely on? I have no confidence in UPL and at least for right now Devin Cooley(who??) is our backup. Color me very concerned.Love the channel
