The Flyers mean the world to me, I just realized this is the first time I won’t be able to watch hockey with my aunt. She along my entire family are massive Flyers fans, every few weeks during the season we used to gather and watch them, she passed away in August, since than sports are the one way I can feel happy after what happened.

The only 5v4 PP goals the flyers have scored this year both came against the Minnesota Wild who has the worst PK% in the entire league. So there’s that.

Growing up I never truly got to see a successful Flyers stretch, I’m hoping Cutter and Michkov change that. I grew up watching what is considered the dark ages 2013-2021 watching a lot of those teams. A lot of mediocrity and bad picks from that era, I heard before that the Flyers were great so I’m hoping Michkov and Cutter can bring me a taste of that. I’m hoping Michkov is the chosen one similar to how AI was “The Answer” for the 76ers.

It was really just that one shift that was trash with the bad response to the unlucky first goal. I still love our hustle and offense. Penalty kill is stellar so far this year too. So many bright spots on this team and we’re nowhere close to being complete.
