  1. Feel bad for Wotherspoon. That shift alone he makes three great plays before the mistake. My problem with the narrative however is he did keep Larkin on the forehand to the point he could only shoot short side. Ullmark was BRUTAL on that goal but Parker got all the blame. (I'm definitely not anti-Ullmark but it's time Monty acknowledges Swayman's playing better)

  2. If you spent 20 min bitching about refs it would be the Steve dangle show lol. The only thing I would say we coulda used forbort and Mac out there killing

  3. Refs were brutal but the biggest reason we lost this game: McAvoy's awful hit on OEL. Defense was brutal tonight, would have been nice for our #1 D man making 9.5M to be there.

  4. The opening skit perfectly represented my experience watching this game with my friend who's a Red Wings fan 😂

  5. I don’t like loses, but. They happen. Not mad we lost. I’m mad at why we lost. I couldn’t watch the majority of this game. I worked, listened to it. There were times that we were down a man and I didn’t even know until I heard “just around a minute 30 left in this Red Wings Powerplay” wait what? Didn’t we just have the man advantage 2 seconds ago?

I feel partially to blame for this L. “Why do you think that?” Against my better judgement I decided to go for a break. Was only a 15 minute break…but. Those 15 minutes…in the third period…hurt. I get back to work, cutting my break short. Pasta scores. So I yell to myself “WE WIN THESE!” Keep that positivity, you know? (We don’t win these)

During the second period during the slurry of penalties against the B’s, I said to myself “man, it’s almost like the Refs want a Wings victory tonight” you know. Typical semantics of a fan tired of hearing his players be called for things he cannot see, only hear.

I think the officiating was especially bad against the Bruins…could be seeing marks that don’t exist…due to the Laffs. Sheldon was so mad with the Refs (and his own team) in regards to Marchand’s “shoulda been a 40 game suspension” on Lily, that to avoid a potential controversy…they made it worse 🙂

Yeah I’m biased. I try not to be. Genuinely wanted this to be a good game. Really want the Wings to be a challenger again. As with the Habs. More competition makes the League more fun.

Just mad that the Goldilocks (my second team) remain undefeated in regulation. Having a 7-0 victory over the Avs…HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN. Like, 3 players had 2 goal games for the Knights. Meanwhile our B’s cannot break 4. I think it’s almost a guaranteed W the moment a team gets 4 on us…thankfully it’s only happened 2 times in 11 games. May the lord have mercy on us if we cannot break that 4 goal curse. This season will be painful otherwise.

  6. Warning this is long.

Now that I've had time to cool off these are my thoughts on how the B's played tonight.

    The big 3 takeaways.

~ Not being able to play around the bad play calling, both for and against
~ The defense in the latter half of the game not playing even moderately well
~ Being unable to score on high danger chances

    Some player notes.

~ Lohrei and Wotherspoon struggled a lot, especially in the 3rd period, let's see if the next game they can make a good comeback effort
~ 4th line was unimpressive all things considered, line chemistry still being built up it seems like
~ Not having Carlo with Lohrei made them pay in the 3rd period
~ Ullmark can only carry the team so much before he buckles under the copious high danger chances
~ JVR continues to impress and while he is best in that 3rd line role, he fits well on the Czech line when needed
~ Pastranak still can easily get 50 goals in under 50 games if the PP and top 6 start clicking
~ Debrusk and Lindholm have been disappointing to start the season, and while they haven't been bad, you do expect more consistent better play from them
~ Poitras is best suited currently for the 3rd line, it's where he produces the most without the worry of being overran by the other team too much

This was a showcase on how the B's haven't been able to and obviously need to play a full 60 minutes to get wins this season, and that the injuries, suspensions, and lack of strong line chemistry has made the last few games a struggle to win for the team.

  7. Both games without their starting defenseman I'll take the leafs over this one. This game was a lost cause.

  8. When is Monty going to stop giving our top pp unit 80% of the play? They are awful. Need to split Marchand and Pasta who continually try to pass the puck through guys instead of creating lanes.

Our fourth line is not creating anything. Need looch back.

  9. WOOOOOO! Can't win em all, boys, we'll have to be content with winning most of em instead! 🤣🤣🤣 LETS GO B's!

  10. Injuries + a suspension + multiple shite ref calls should equal a flogging! This wasn’t one and the result certainly was not the fault of the young D men who had to step up.! This is the NHL….. you need the A Team to win!
