This is a team dynamic problem. It’s not a team, its a small number of superstars getting the vast majority of ice time. Some of them take undisciplined penalties. That has to hurt team dynamic. What chance do players playing a couple minutes a period, or less, really have when superstars go back on the ice after needless penalties ?
J is talking pablum here. Maintaining a positive outlook? Seriously, no one who looks at McD or Drai believes that. Their faces say it all. They are playing out their contracts hoping to get to a real team before it’s too late.
My opinion, trade Nurse and cut Campbell. Get a couple of tough lunch bucket D and ride Skinner throughout the season. Play 4 lines lines like Vegas does. Give McD and Drai some breathing room so they are fresher through the season.

Changing coaches again is not the answer, these are grown ass mrn that get payed millions, so start playing. Fire Ken Holland hes garbage, look what he did with Detroit. And getting Brown is garbage as well hes doing absolutely nothing.
Totally phony press conference. No tough questions, nobody speaking the truth. The Oil need a real goalie. Fire the goalie coach. What made Broisoit so good? Get that coach. Not watching this phony nice guy stuff any more.
When is this oilers org gonna give the players what they need to win? 10 years to get a good goalie? Fire the whole executive, they don't want this team to win
He is the coach that is favorite to win the Stanley Cup. He won the coach of the year 5 times in a row with Quebec Nordiques, Hartford Whalers and Minnesota North Stars. He's a good coach and Oilers should give him 6-7 years to prove that he is the best in the NHL.
