   Wait till February and all these great players will fall off and disappear.

   I guarantee you nobody is chiming in on that panel with "it's 3 weeks in" if it was the Leafs or Oilers with that record.

   Could they fall of a cliff? Sure. The regular season can be long and unforgiving.

   But Pettersson is proving he is a top 5 forward in this league; Hughes is a top puck moving Dman who quarterbacks everything; Demko is healthy and finally got a squad playing a well structured game in front of him.

   Miller just had over 90 pts a couple seasons ago; Hronek has been excellent.

   They have the pieces to be good, and maybe they're all figuring it out now and playing a committed team game thanks to Tocchet, the Sedins working with guys on the PP, Gonchar & Foote working with the D, etc.

   And I say this as a Leafs fan.

   Let the Canucks have their moment.
