Philosophical thought of the moment: How can players contribute when they're playing under 6 or 7 minutes each. They have to FIND a way (and not score a lot). This game was odd for me. First, I couldn't watch it AGAIN (I hate my medical reality) BUT I could watch highlights and look at the stats. The Oilers were volume shooters but other than ONE to tie it up in the first and 2 goals by Gagner in the 3rd they did a whole lot of nothing but shooting. The Power Play has died and needs a resurrection. Connor isn't close to 100% (he took ONE faceoff and LOST that). Kane did great again (though his one penalty gave the Stars the PP goal they needed to take the lead in the 2nd and they never looked back). The Oilers NEVER had the lead. They tied it up ONCE but other than that, nada, zip, zilch. Skinner had a sub .900 night AGAIN. I don't think everything is his fault. In fact a lot didn't look directly like his fault. On paper it wasn't a horrible game, you see the score and think it was close. It wasn't close. It was an NGE game (NOT GOOD ENOUGH). Take care all.

  2. Where were the two best players in the world? Was listening to the broadcast and I barely heard either of their names.

  3. Honestly, Goalies are a big problem, 49 shots & we lose to a back up, happens all the time well other team is constantly popping in 3-5 goals with only 20-30 shots. its just not good enough

  4. Lets talk about how Leon shot a 1 timer wide by 3 feet easily.. Leon looks off.. he isnt shooting well.. he's bobbling the puck..loses most of his faceoffs.. why is leon off his game?

  5. The first goal for Dallas was soft. Skinner should have had it. 89 looked awesome. The boys fought so hard in the 3rd, we need 3 periods of that. Broberg made a BIG mistake which he learned the hard way. Ceci was soft. Kulak looked solid. Drais and McD both looked off tonight. Kaner looked good again tonight.
