I always laaugh every time the Oilers fail and people don't clue into why. McDavid is not a complete player and therefore cannot make this team better. He will never win until he learns to play a complete 200' game, and I don't think he'll ever bother to do that
Last I checked you need more than two star players, especially on defense and in goal. Edmonton still has games with San Jose so that will help.

The oilers weakest link in the post dynasty era has always been goaltending.. they’ve always had great talent, but underperforming goalies who on paper should be so much better.

They're overrated so this isn't shocking. They're not this bad but probably a 500 team. Hot goalie and their 2 players doing well and they do well. Anything else and they're about a 500 team.
