Good for him for getting paid. Glad it wasn’t us and someone else in our division.
One thing I miss is Severson’s stretch passes. He hit attacker’s sticks right on the tape. Some of our D have tried doing it, but just a bit off and doesn’t generate as many odd man rushes. Obviously we’re so fast, that we generate rushes regardless, but Sevo passes from the defensive zone to the offensive blue line were reliable.
Still chaotic, but still love Sevo. I defended him so much. He’s a good dude.
Consistently inconsistent
Severson held a soft spot for me.
The dude was a solid defensemen, and showed up in the playoffs. He was a Devil his entire career up to being traded. I felt like he gave a shit about the team, brought ‘older, big brother’ presence to a young team, and loved being a Devil.
Part of me wishes he was still with us but I’m glad he’s getting the bag.
Looking at the net rating, he is in the 25th percentile of defenders.
Do not miss the minus man one bit.
So, so glad we didn’t extend him

Much like we needed, Columbus definitely needs to have some guys step up to push him down the lineup.
