I urge you all to absolutley NOT look up how good the Rangers are at faceoffs this season

6. Humanaut93

>last game

>give up 3 goal lead

>this game

>score 5 goals

Problem solved

7. Kaapo-Taco

Jones is just not very good. Maybe it’s time to give Robertson a chance

8. Jokercard08

Kind of a strange one.

Those first 40 mins were some of the best hockey I’ve seen this group play, and certainly the best of the season.

These fucking lapses need to stop, we should have learned our lesson against the Wild. Better teams won’t let us escape with points.

Panarin looks like a completely different player. The entire « coaches don’t do anything » crowd must be really confused as to why he looks completely engaged and locked in.

Laff continues to grow every single game, slowly undoing the DQ/Gallant tarnish. He looks stronger and faster too, harder to bump off pucks. Just need him shooting a bit more.

Sadly, KK is still balls-deep in the DQ/Gallant indoctrination. Need him to break free and be the player we all know he can be. That being said, I liked what I saw with him Cuylle. Once Fil returns, Cuylle – Tro – Kk has potential.

Speaking of Cuylle, what a surprise this kid has been. Quickly became a favorite. Pours his heart out every single shift, nice to see him rewarded with a goal.

The CK/Zib 5v5 nonsense continues. I swear Zib doesn’t even look at the net anymore. But with the roster in it’s current form, what the hell do you do about it? Pan – Zib – Laff? Ck – Tro – Kk?

Wheeler is trying but man….be interesting to see what RW we go for at the deadline. Maybe a Buchnevich type of guy, teams sure are lucky to draft players like that.

Jones showed how good he can be at Offense, but had 1 reeeeaaally bad lapse that leads to a goal. Still our best option out there by a long shot, and should still have the spot over #4 on Fox’s return.

The big thing is this team is winning games they SHOULD be winning, not just stealing games due to a hot PP or goalie. It’s exciting as I feel they are trending upward. However, some things are going to be addressed/fixed before we can really call ourselves contenders.

Lets get 2 more Thurs with some Wild Revenge

9. wossquee

I’m working election night in the news biz and I had a nice easy enjoyable game to distract me until about an hour after the polls close and then all hell broke loose. Couldn’t they have just tacked on three more instead of giving up three?

10. huskyferretguy1

First 2 periods were great! Then I got worried in 3rd as Quick gave up 3. Maybe we should get another goalie just in case Quick can’t finish games?

All in all, a win is a win! LGR!

11. DoctorPapaJohns

Lol Flyers are losing to the Sharks rn

12. dcgirl98

I’ll take that win. 2 good periods. It got a little lost there in the 3rd to make it nice and stressful. Guess they want to keep us on our toes.

Onto Thursday and the return of the Wild. LGR!!!

13. man, TNT really sent Kenny Albert to Colorado for the Devils instead of letting him call the Rangers game. 😆

14. 8teamparlay

Idk about you guys but it seems like we’re getting way more than we expected with cuylle. This kid can really play, he’s fast, he’s got a nose for the puck, he’s tough, and he seems to be in the right place at the right time. He’s got more offense to his game than i thought too

15. Neans888

It’s natural to let up when you’re up by 5. It’s also hard to turn it back on after you’ve let your foot off the gas. I’m not concerned at all about this game. Good win against a team that’s been playing well. Move on to the next one.

16. Reddit040

I had forgotten that we traded Lias for the pick that ended up being Cuylle. Nice bit of business there.

17. MUSTY_BUSSY

Really wish John, Hank, and Vally were around to do the postgame recap tonight — I didn’t get to watch any of the good part of the game

18. R4vi0981

I remember when we got destroyed 5-0 a few games and scored late and it didn’t mean much. It happens, Rangers played well for most of the game. I’ve been loving the starts. Most strong starts I’ve seen this team have in a while.

19. Ok-Employee-7722

If you’re not used to this as a Rangers fan by now, I have no idea what to tell you. Expecting anything but silliness with a big lead is on you.

20. RoyHarper88

I’m sorry I started watching the game late

21. TheIncredibleHork

The Hork’s View from 222

* How is it November and this is only my 4th view? And I hadda go to Vancouver for one of them!
* Team looked sharp tonight. Ready to rock despite missing some key players. I want them back as much as anyone, but you know what? *We actually have effective depth this year.*
* What we *don’t* have is favorable reffing. The refs really didn’t like us. We got some good calls in our favor in the second, but there were a LOT of missed calls and I’m fully convinced that there was refball happening to help the TNT ratings.
* Trocheck opened scoring up with a BEAUTY of a snipe! Glad to see he’s getting his footing, he seemed slow to start the year.
* Bongo Cam: one gent was bongoing for all he was worth! You go bro!
* Kreider and Pitlick both had badass hits before the end of the period. And I don’t know who was getting froggy on front of the Rangers bench with a few minutes to go but I was thinking this game is gonna get chippy.
* Quicky looking good all period. Only 5 shots on him but still solid. (Please let this not be a malocchi/spoiler: it wasn’t exactly?).
* Previous car winner Nick L in the house giving vibes for hopefully another winner. Joanna O from 222 sadly did not do us proud on the shoot to win. No signed stick, no car.
* Running into old coworkers at the Garden is always a treat, especially when both of us have only good things to say about where we’re now working.
* Happy 6th birthday to Zamboni Rider Massimo! Damn that’s a cool birthday present. Think I could get that for my 44th? No? Fuck.
* Second period, let the slaughter continue!
* Just to summarize the goals: Kreider doing Kreider things on the Power play; Trocheck with his second (he came close a few times for that hat trick!) before they could even announce the Kreider goal; Panarin having his latest multi-point game with this goal (and the assist on the Kreider goal); Cuylle continuing to impress!
* And those last two were 5v5! We can actually score those!!!
* Seriously, we just kept BUZZING. Crisp passes and puck movement, solid defense, and letting the bodies hit the FLOOR. At one point the hits were 21-9 in our favor.
* Schneider and Jones, who had the assists on Cuylle’s goal, looked MUCH more cohesive. They’re definitely learning to gel with each other.
* I was REALLY enjoying watching Lafrenière play tonight. He’s come into his own and is playing with a lot more confidence, and he’s still throwing the body around when he can.
* I suppose this is as good a place to put this as anywhere… I’m sorry but Wheeler ain’t him. He’s going to end up the 13th/14th forward and we’ll pick someone up to be a likely 3rd line right wing.
* Yes I said likely 3rd. I don’t think Kakko is a problem, he’s not the reason the top line isn’t scoring 5v5, and unless we get a genuine top liner Kakko is as good there as anywhere else.
* Karaoke Cam: YMCA! Always a favorite.
* Ok, third period, butt clencher. And if all started with…
* One chump flashing a 5-0 on the Garden Vision. I blame you! You don’t flash the score like that when it’s a shut out in progress!
* I don’t think these goals were really that terrible for Quick, maybe it was blown coverage… I gotta admit I was deep in some conversations. Detroit was also hitting the post a lot.
* But of course, one of those goals is from Copper. I miss having him on the team.
* Oh and a happy birthday someone in 223 that we all sang to. Huzzah!
* We had quite a few chances to get the empty netter, but everyone seemed kinda gun shy to go for it.

Overall, solid performance even if it was a little lackluster in the 3rd. The team has good performing depth, Cuylle is becoming a solid piece that will score and wreck people, the defense is solidifying even without Foxy (seriously, how are we doing better without Fox than we do when we’re without Lindgren???) And as long as we get an eventually replacement for Wheeler, I think we’re a strong contender.

The march to 79-2-1 continues (but I swear I’m not getting penisy).

22. Grouchy-Power-806

I thought it was a really well played game except when they relaxed in the third and let Detroit make it a game.

Ex NYR scoring is something you should bet on every time.

23. Key-Tip-7521

This game was a good bounce back win after that performance on Saturday night. This Episode of Rangers Hockey: *Winging It,* Lav made some line changes which looked liked they worked. An excellent start, but a bad finish to a game where the Red Wings Wheels were spinning, and the Rangers winning.

1st Period: What a start by the Rangers. A shot by Trocheck that should have been stopped by Husso. Oof. The Rangers were buzzing this period, the new lines, looked good w/the exception of the first line. Which needs to be looked at by Lav. Loved how the Rangers puck possession was in this period. Will Cuylle, throwing the body around. Loving it. That line he was on was good. PK was excellent this period.

2nd Period: This period, the Rangers took full control, aided from the Red Wings dumb penalties. which the Rangers paid it off. Christopher James Kreider tip in king again. Chris Kreider(whispers) It’s a Power Play Goal! Trocheck got his second on the night on the power play as well(whispers) it’s a power play goal! The onslaught continued. Bread continued his hot streak, a goal and an apple, Laf looked good as well. But a player that has been quietly playing good, Will Cuylle. Got another goal. He aint hot, he’s Cool. Oh a sus penalty at the end of the period.

3rd Period: This was dicey towards the end of this game. The Red Wings 4th line made it interesting. Dumb penalties for the Rangers. Couldn’t get the puck deep and play hard. It was unacceptable. Keep the foot on the gas. Never let teams back into the game. Gotta work on that and I know this team will.

This game was a good response. It showed character once again. No Fox, Igor, Chytil, no problem. That Bones-Cuylle-Kakko line looked dynamite. The Bread-Troch-Laf line looked good too. Good team win. fix up the way the rangers played in the final 20 and i’ll be happy going forward. JQ got his first MSG Ranger win. Rangers win! all that matters. Keep it up. Onto the Wild.

Oppie phoned in. « Take in the Sheets. » 2 Points in the bag. Onto the Wild

God Save the King. Back afta dis.

24. -RomeoZulu-

So… can Zac Jones play RW? Asking for a friend who wants to see him play regularly once 23 is back.

25. LiltonPie

I think literally every game so far Laff has looked noticeable and in a good way. He seems engaged and always making something happen.

26. the_mair

I live in CT and get to attend a decent number of Wolfpack games as a result.

I don’t even know how this is possible but Cuylle is better in the NHL than he was with Hartford.

27. Clints_Burner77

I mean the kids haven’t even looked great. Panarin and Kreider are just playing at MVP levels.
