You know what?
I made a comment about Jack Campbell and his struggles.
Seeing this guy crying on the bench has me concerned.
Maybe the flames will buy him out and he can sign back with us for a mill.
I was upset to see him go, glad we got tkachuk and now just so fucking sad to see him like this… many have pointed out that calgary’s system is different from his style and that’s part of the problem with him being able to adjust but I legitimate feel like he just have not been able to move on from his disappointment of being trade out of here.
We should trade for him give up a 1st or 2nd and half Calgary retain half his salary. Hubby at $5m doesnât sound that bad
This picture speaks volumes of Huberdeau mental state. I really hope he gets the help he needs. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy and he needs something to get him out of his mind and enjoying the game again.
Ya gotta feel for the guy. You know he didn’t want to get traded. He just wanted too much money for the team to justify keeping him. Sports are a business and that’s why the whole « home team discount » thing exists.
But. He got his bag and I am happy for him for that. It’s just unfortunate he was traded to a team that ran a system VERY different than anything he had played with before in his professional career with, by all accounts, was a fairly unpleasant coaching / locker room experience.
He’s now in his own head, he’s not playing up to his potential, and he’s probably beating himself up more than the Canadian media possibly could. I’m sure he’s regressed a little (age catches us all) but he still has that innate instinct and ability we all loved to see.
I hope he gets it together. He did good by us and deserves to go out better than this
I feel so sad for him
