   Edmonton doesn’t have a Norris-caliber defenseman, and their D-core in general looks weaker than even the Canucks last season. And they certainly don’t have a star goalie that can pick up the slack. I’m not entirely sure why a lot of analysts had Edmonton slotted for Stanley cup winners this season. I don’t see it. Draisaitl and McDavid can’t outscore all their problems, 100% of the time.

   Our defense WAS a train wreck. We addressed that.

   We have one of the best top 6 forward groups in the league. One of the best goalies in the league. A Norris caliber defenseman. Our defense and lack of structure was what was holding this team back.
