  1. Makes sense definitely is a Rick Tocchet type player. I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to this depending on the price

  2. mediumyeet

I don’t mind Zadorov but I don’t see the fit with Cole and Soucy on the left side unless they think he is a longer term 2nd pair solution that they would like to re-sign.

  3. -GregTheGreat-

I just don’t see it. Tocchet allergic to playing Soucy and Cole on their offhand. I could see us pursuing him in the off-season but not currently

    > Sure the Canucks will be in the mix, but he’s not the only player on the Flames that’s thinking of a change of scenery.

    maybe Tanev? 👀

No thank you. We already have our left side figured out. We don’t need two years of Zadorov as well. If we didn’t already have Soucy and Cole, then this might actually be something. But since we have them both… Makes no sense.

I’m very much on the Ethan Bear train still. Trade out Beauvillier to free up some cap (Not easy, but find a way). Use that cap space to sign Bear when he’s healthy. Easy.

  6. Blockbuster potential here…

    Zadorov
    Hanafin
    Huberdeau (retained?)

    For

    Garland
    Podkolzin
    D-Petey
    Myers
    +

Canucks could go all in – Rutherford is old as fuck he wants a cup

I don’t love it tbh. I don’t like his skating ability. He gives up on plays easily and is frequently blown by. Rather a guy like peeke or fabbro tbh

  8. cheguevara9

I like all the Russian players that we have right now, but Dan Milstein always strikes me as someone who’s kinda shady.

  9. natedogjulian

No thanks… We don’t want Alberta leftovers

  10. SingleSampleSize

Raymond + Ballard + 2nd aught to do it.

  11. LoopAngel

He’ll become a shell of his former self. Heart is grown from within. As you can see. Don’t bring Calgary cancer to our dressing room. For crying out loud they are our freaking rivals

  12. West_Fuel_7990

Given the success of this mix, would Allvin want to make a change in D right now?

  13. MountainGrab860

Gonchar would be the perfect coach and mentor

  14. Low_Entertainer_6973

I like the honesty in his interviews, seem like a no BS type. We are going to need some size and more grit come playoff time.

  15. jdmay101

This would be a really bad move. Zadorov has a big shot and makes big hits but the whole « rest of the game of hockey » thing is not his forte… don’t fix what ain’t broke right now.

  16. Strict-Caterpillar38

I like the player but don’t really see where he fits

VAN Receives: Nikita Zadorov + 6th Round Pick.

CGY Receives: Anthony Beauvillier + 4th Round Pick (NDJ) + Aidan McDonough

    Look.. It’s a bit of a meat head take…

But Cole, Myers, Soucy, and Zadorov is a lot of meat & potatoes on them 2 bottom pairings.

  19. rainman_104

I can’t think of anyone playing LD I’d want to give up. Cole and Soucy are great, and Hughes isn’t going anywhere.

  20. ToyStrecher

Why tho? We don’t really need him. Unless they’re taking back Myers

  21. racesunite

This is what Dhaliwal says but he did not say according to his sources so take it with a grain of salt

  22. Consistent_Grab_5422

UFA at the end of the year. Definitely hope Allvin doesn’t give up too much.

  23. Buzzdriver3

Why would they fuck around now looking for better defensemen when the ones you already have are playing so well???

  24. Would much rather go for Tanev. Right side, has the familiarity and will be cheaper.

  25. might do it for Ballard, Raymond, and a 2nd
