PDO is another useless stat bros indicator.
Under Tocchet the team is playing a much better defensive system with defined structure and responsibilities. Canucks give up few quality chances and even less second chances. Shocker save percentage goes up.
This system frustrates other teams and they break down and allow the Canucks quality chances and take penalties that put the Canucks on a powerplay. Quality chances and a 33% power play score lots of goals on relatively few shots. Shocker shooting percentage goes up.
That’s sustainable if players continue to execute the system. Let’s see if it happens.
