Did anyone else feel that the 2nd goal by Montreal hit the post and went in through the side of the net?

  2. xannydimes

last year genuinely scarred me, I was so convinced we’d blow the 3-0 lead, the boys know how to close now and it feels amazing

Canucks: screw your PDO, here’s two empty netters, nerd.

  4. CapnPositivity

Waive Juulsen omg he is PAINFUL, i’d rather sign Tylor Minors to an extension than watch him play again for us

  5. timhortons67

GG Canucks! Wanted the W, but you’re the one team I don’t mind losing against. Rooting for you (but please beat the leafs next time thank you:)

Habs fan, hope I’m allowed here.

All I’ve heard from analysts and fans is that you guys are playing above your heads, are PDO merchants, are getting lucky, etc. After tonight, I can’t help but feel like you guys are the real deal. Looked really, really good. Slick passing, punishing forecheck, tough defense, and if the goaltending is that good from your backup, I can’t imagine how Demko must be playing.

Hope the Canucks keep it up (unless they’re playing the Habs pls)

  8. wintercom

Desmith, just knew he was allowed 2 goals so he let that one in.

  9. thesunsetflip

Honestly don’t mind the fact Xhekaj scored there, still amazes me how he went from working at Costco to being a starter on the habs in the span of two years. Major props to the guy

Watching the post game interviews, and those ball caps are *not* it. Look like something from Winners.

  11. CamaroGirl96

This interview with DeSmith is adorable. He seems like a super nice guy. Always a smile on his face.

  12. AdmirableAgent863

Credit where it’s due Casey Smith is probably an example of some great pro-scouting. Scouts that don’t get credit when they deserve it.

    That and Jimmy Rutherford

  13. electricnux

    we are so back

after a one game losing streak

  14. DeSmith is a pretty good interview. Love to see him do well. Going to be a fan favourite.

Didn’t get to watch the game, how did Blueger fill in and do?

  16. Had to put my dog down this week and the canucks have been such a bright spot! Feels good to get a win

  17. bighairysourpeen

What a great bounce back game. This team is showing some resilience. Got something special here.

  18. How injured is Petey tho. He looks like he’s having a tough time out there

  19. FluidG11

Great win. Definitely the better team overall.

  20. Getting 4/6 points is great but laying an egg in Toronto sucks for the tunnel visioning trophy voters.

All 3 teams were on the wrong end of a back to back. The Calgary game on Thursday is going to be a big resiliency test, even if Calgary sucks. Canucks will be playing the second game of a back to back AND have to travel between games, while Calgary will be rested.

We seem to be winning a lot of games 5-2. Is it just me or?

  22. ToyStrecher

Anyone else just frustrated with our PP? Idc how many times we score 5v5 to win games, we need to have a bit more of a threatening man advg. It’s not like we don’t have the skill to do it.

Quinn being QB is great, but I feel like Petey and Kuz can create more dangerous movement off the puck. Setting Petey up with a one time bomb is great, but if it’s just a stationary pass it’s easy for teams to block. If they switched with Quinn while he has the puck, he can walk it down the side and create so many high chance options for us while drawing bodies.
I’ve seen sometimes we have two guys parallel on the point, and it just looks like a waste of a body. And they move so slowly to get the man in the bumper/high slot. These are things that’ll take us to the next level if our coaching staff can re work it.

People are honestly underrating the Habs, they’re a good team and will only get better. It was another hard fought game, that we thankfully won. We do still look sloppy at times, but I think as the season goes on we will iron the wrinkles out. Good win boys!

  24. JTMilleriswortha1st

11 wins in the first 15 games is a great fucking start.

  25. Hyperocean

Habs suck, but the Canucks aren’t the team they were before the Toronto game. There’s a bit of crispness missing, perhaps smarter systems are focusing on our better assets now ..

  26. julesieee

I hope Soucy is not severely injured. Otherwise, that’s Juulsen’s music 💀

  27. TotesMagotes29

Canucks have 5 players in the top 10 for league scoring. When is the last time you could say that?

  28. I’m looking at the 3 stars-

    Garland 1G, 1A

    Cpt. Huggy 1A +3

    Slafkovsky -2.

Why is Slafkovsky the third star?

  29. helixflush

Can we talk about how great our zone entries have become? Obviously there’s some chip & chase going on but overall we’ve been able to enter on every team just fine. It’s crazy

  30. Ikea_desklamp

So weird hearing the TSN broadcasters saying stuff like « the Canucks are one of the top teams in the NHL so far » and « … the habs are up against such a strong team ».

  31. NotoriousBananaHavoc

Well my cheeks are gonna be squealing like a pig tonight after this banger of a win

  32. grooverocker

I keep fans talking about how Pettersson is playing through an injury. Is this fan speculation, or has there been a statement by someone on the team?

I haven’t heard a thing, but with so many storylines flying around the NHL, I could have easily missed it.

  33. KoreyW07

Just watched the replay, dope game and Desmith played like crazy. Good job boys!

  34. Iron_Seguin

With this win, Tocchet has now gone 31-15-5 as the Canucks bench boss.

  35. captainkunkka604

Couldn’t watch the game, how was Blueger?

  36. Captain_JT_Miller

Blueger is better than I expected.

  37. AlexCora

LOVE a good bounce-back. Such a comforting sign.

  38. metrichustle

After tonight, it’s clear Garland has a ton of value on the 3rd line. He has good chemistry with Joshua.

I think Beau would be a much better trade asset.

  39. carlyslayjepsen86

Took a road trip to the states to watch the Seahawks play (and win). That was sweet, but us winning on a b2b is more sweeter. Go Pacific Northwest sports!!!
