i've been watching this team for about 5 years now. This is a completely different Dean in these interviews. I don't think he's ever been in a situation like this and probably feeling the heat. Hope they can turn it around.
We talk about it between periods? Why don’t you fix it during practice like a real coach! Quit trading and signing 33 year olds who were never superstars when they were young. There are so many guys in Iowa who deserve more than a 2 day look. But we could add 3 Bedards right now and nothing would change. Because regardless of who you put on the roster, someone has to know how to put the pieces together. And then know how to get the most out of those pieces. Dean is not even close to that guy. I think he could be a great assistant coach, but he will never be the guy to take us to as Stanley Cup. Billy if you read these comments, ask yourself this question…. What would (or could) Jacques Lemaire do with our talent pool? You and every other guy who played for him know the answer. He could take over this miserable group tomorrow and turn them into Stanley Cup champions 2 years ago. We need to make a change at the top. And I doubt Lemaire wants to coach again, but the longer you wait, the GMs that don’t “weight” will hire the best available.
