Boys are sometimes idiots
It’s called a pre-game warm-up. Teams will get on the ice briefly before the game and go for a quick skate, stretch, take some shots on the net, some passing, just to get a feel for playing before they actually do.
You’ll notice the warm-up happens before every game. Hope this helps.
