Gustaffson has been a GREAT free agent pickup!!! He's been a big part. Also, FINALLY playing Laf in top minutes, with Panarin dishing passes – the investment of time is finally bearing fruit.
The team still needs to get healthy and maybe, ideally, add a little more middle six speed (not too confident that Wheeler has much left in the tank).
Kakko has 2 points, should the Rangers get worried already? Really was hoping more from him after a decent 40 point season.

Unrelated to the video but I just traded Eichel, Bratt and Doughty for Stamkos, Marner and Petry. My league scores are 3pts goal, 2pts assist, 0.2pts hits and 0.25pts blocks.

As a rangers fan this is the most complete team I’ve seen in my lifetime from us I’m so happy LFGR whole team contributing Mika with the passing Bread, Laffy, Kreids scoring and young guys like fox getting it down and showing that he is the 2nd best Dman in the league

I love how Alexis is stepping his Game up but its sad to see Kaapo working his A$$ off and not even getting assists out of it :/ BUT LGR!!
Great analysis. Laviolette and his coaching staff have brought some much needed structure, work ethic, and togetherness to this team.
They have good depth but at times they look too defensive, so we shall see. Mika is one of the best 2 way forwards but his offense has not been at it's best.
It's funny how Laviolette is doing so well with the Rangers and he was terrible with Washington. You might say Washington was a terrible team but they're going pretty well this season with the same roster.
Imagine how much better we would look if we were healthy. The fact we are 11-2-1 without 3 important players is insane. This might be one of our best seasons ever.
Need one more top 9 forward then the cup (Hopefully) is ours! LFGR!
Mika is one of the best 2 way centers in the league. Top 5 goals scored last 5 years and his D is Selke worthy.
They have holes like every other team. Their bottom 6 is suspect. The reports on the injuries have not been informative and there is not a legitimate timetable. Chytil has a history of concussions and could be out with another one believed now. It’s too soon in the season to get too excited just yet. They are still contenders though. Panarin challenging for Hart; maybe he’ll receive the one he should have won in 2020!
The Rangers were 4th in Goals Against last season?! The difference is average 5v5 scoring compared to bottom of the league last year and a Power Play scoring at a rate higher above even a top 5 unit. They will cool off a bit but 5v5 scoring is still a concern. Gustafson has been a huge addition though!
They find different ways to win.
If we can just get Kakko and Mika going, we're going to have a lot of fun this season.

I think it really should be mentioned that along with Laviolette the Rangers hired an almost entirely new Assistant Coach lineup, basically the only one left was our goalie coach who is a legend

This kid is a fabulous host. He actually used fewer correctly! Stay at it young man, you have a future. Oh and the Rangers will cool off as some of the wins (last nigh particularly) are ridiculous, but this team is playing great and they are a blast to watch.
Those five days off is gonna be a HUGE blessing for this team! 🚨

i love what ive been seeing out of this team early on. first off, we're proving a lot of haters wrong by how well our backup goalies have been playing. everyone says that the rangers will only go as far as shesty can carry them, but theyre proving that this year, he wont be carrying the team on his back, but rather providing a strong backstop for a team that plays with him. I love how well laf plays (crazy what happens when you give a top prospect top minutes, huh?) gus has been playing well all year, even when he was still paired with schneider on that 3rd d line, but has really stepped up in fox's absence. another player who ive really liked to watch is will cuylle. he hasnt been the best rookie of all time, but hes doing everything he can to prove that the roster spot he earned out of camp was the right decision. lavy has brought another level to this team, something that we saw flashes of in gallants first year, when they went to the eastern semis, but the big question that everyone will be asking: is this sustainable. Sure, we're playing out of our minds right now, but will it hold up around february, march, and hopefully, playoffs in april and may?
