Kane has the best chance to make a difference in Detroit or Buffalo, where he'll get enough minutes in a skilled role to actually matter, and his loss of speed shouldn't hurt as bad.
Its kinda crazy how oilers fans think that a team 11-1 would trade one of the best tandems in the league they dont need no center poitros has fit in perfecltly and Zacha has been great lmaooooo signing cambell was just a bad idea will haunt this team if they never win a cup no way Skinmer is that good cant make a save when u need it
A billion isn't what it used to be. The US owes 34 of those to bond holders, and they'll owe a lot more of them to bond holders real soon. Must be nice to just whip up currency from thin air and have the entire planet consider it valuable.
Unless Ullmark is traded for Mcdavid with retained salary im not interested
Jagr's celebration will be something else
🤷♂️ken holland lol wings went to the cellar with that clown good luck oilers! lol 🤷♂️🤪🤔👍
That Nurse contract, 9.25 million all the way to 2030 for that plug…🤡🤡
I don't understand why everybody is so surprised by EO's underperformance. The team has been totally dependent och Dreiseitl and McDavid for years. Exclude they're scoring the last 3-4 seasons and Edmonton turn into a traincrash. Now those two guys lost their pace and self confidence and the rest of the bunch is just as lost as headless hens. The gang waits for the two to enter ice and swing magic wands. Does not happen right now and EO will not reach playoff. Need to do 90-95 points in 70 games ≈ 0,65 in average. Only blind optimists think that is possible. Ao what happeneD? The management forgot to build body in the team and was blinded by their 3-4 best scorers. Now when the stars are adrift coaches stand clueless. I feel sorry for 97 and 29. They probably need mental counselling to not blame themselves for the worst hockey debacle in decades.
Just compare to Canucks which have so many scorers, the support their team mates, deliver even after tough starts (Ottawa and Edmonton last few matches) and still pulls it off. No primadonnas – just plain and simple standup for your teammates.
If the Oilers are a mess defensively then isnt that on the system the coach wants, alongside the players?
I'm a Bruins fan and sick of these made up proposals involving us with Edmonton. We are doing very well, Poitras is looking great and Coyle, Zacha are also doing their part. I hate how people slot guys and never see them as anything more. Yes Coyle, Zacha, Poitras on paper as our top 3 centers doesnt look the strongest but it works for us. Also you gotta to give guys an opportunity to play better than expected and trust them. We trust our guys and they are rewarding thr trust in them now.
You said you may need to make a board for the Avs, but you don’t need one for the Oilers? The bias this year is getting a bit ludicrous.
Jagr is still playing?
I remember finding out once, years ago while he was still in the NHL playing for Florida, that he was the only NHL player left who was older than I was. I turned 50 last March, and Jagr would still be older than me, so…
Last season Ovi became the second player to score more NHL goals than Gordie Howe. If Jagr could come back and play even one more NHL game, he would become the first person to play in the NHL at an older age than Howe was in his last game.
I would trade draisaitl for logan couture
McDavid will go to an American team where he will have a chance at a Cup
Let’s face it Bruins probably make playoffs but I’m not counting on them winning it all. Couldn’t do it last year. Like you said playoffs are different. Deadline maybe trade Ullmark and get a backup goalie. Sell high why he’s doing amazing. Plus it shows we want Swayman as the guy.
Performance in the NHL today is heavily dependent on systems but the Oilers are 30 years behind teams like Vegas and Carolina. The Oilers have enough individual talent throughout the lineup (yes, even their bottom 6 is decent) but there is no system in place to get the five players on the ice to play tight defense.
The talk about trading for a goalie is based on history. The Oilers' best years always involved an epic goalie making heroic saves to bail out the terrible team defense. We saw this with Fuhr, Ranford, and Joseph, but there is no epic goalie available to bail out this team right now so the only solution is to change the coaching staff and find a regime that can quickly implement a modern NHL system.
No Eastern team has cap space apart from Buffalo and Detroit. I'm not sure if signing Kane for 4 million would improve these teams more than the other options available.
Looking forward to the retired number video
I love it when Shannon gets annoyed with reactionary fans lol
I doubt Kane's 5 teams he has in mind is the Habs, but with the crushing lost of Dach as he was to be incredibly good this year, having finally broken last year proving he wasn't a bust (although maybe injury prone, I don't remember what for but he was injured twice last year), but if the Habs are one the wildcard spot chase and maybe a bit more comfortably so than a few other teams, it would be great. When the Habs signed Eric Staal and Corey Perry to assure themselves a place in the playoffs and then those 2 doing real well in the playoffs as well, both of em even wanting to stay up to some point, I think veteran star players have to stop to be afraid of coming up here, everytime they do, Habs make the playoffs and get far (the last time, might have been when they traded for Vanek and he was very efficient and we got to the conference finals….where Price had to injure himself, again, Tokarski did his best but what a situation to be thrown in (whoever was the backup was also injured that season) back 9 years ago I think.
So does this mean that Pens are not signing Jagr to play on Crosby's wing? I'm so disappointed.
I bet Jags would have more goals than ovechkin to start the season
No clue wht Pat Kane does. Wonder how much he will get?
