  1. Brian Burke couldn't find a goalie if one came and sat on his head, been that way his whole career. Keenan and Torts weren't much better either.

  2. Worst lost in Canucks history 13-0 against the Oilers in 1985 and Frank Caprice was in net for the entire game

  3. About Bromley, it's weird that they show him wearing that skull mask twice in two games – both with the yellow and black V jerseys. He could've just worn it for two games.

  4. The downfall of the Canucks began with Gillis not pulling the trigger prior to the 2012-2013 lockout on a Luongo trade. He could’ve gotten a good young forward which the team desperately needed (other things were deteriorating as well but this was key).

Then…when it became clear that wasn’t an option Schneider could have been moved for a small ransom considering his play, but they waited until the draft. Granted Horvat is a stud but the Canucks had a chance to really get lots of assets in return and re-tool their stale core with youth. This definitely showed during the next four years with the huge decline. Sedins can’t win every game by themselves.

  5. The only reason I already knew John Garrett has made the All Star game is because he and John Shorthouse bring it up every 2nd game hahaha.

  6. I love these goaltender history videos by team. Lots of goalies from the 70s and 80s the I remember very well and enjoyed watching them play. My favorite players tend to be goalies, so there you go…

  7. Kirk McLean in ‘94 was pretty much the only goalie who carried them in the playoffs despite a mediocre regular season. Kay Whitmore would’ve got them swept. Now McLean was the loser, but he still gave everything at the Madison Square Garden. I mean game 7 was a crazy game; that whole place hoped to God Bure wouldn’t score, since he’s the leader in scoring.
