McGuire is often right. He deplored the McDonough – Gomez trade.
On the other hand he also said he would prefer building a team around Dion Phaneuf than Sidney Crosby, because defense wins championships.

Been a long time since I’ve since such league wide poor goaltending. Drafting goalies is a crap shoot at the best of times. I liked the Habs picking 3 last draft.
Of them all, though, this is the kid I’d like to see make it.
