I can’t stress enough about giving our boy time, he big boy and big boy take time to become good boy. Just look at Lafrenière finally it’s his breakout year
Kid’s about to breakout, I can feel it.
He’s going to get a multi-points game in the next couple of weeks and we will never look behind.
He’s doing a lot of things right and clearly has the desire and work ethic to break out
He’s the ideal pick guys – hardworking and has a good attitude, but still a bit cocky. He genuinely wants to improve and he’s working hard at it + all the physical skills + MSL!! Would you rather a skilled little guy who’ll likely put up points, some solid 2C, or this guy who has Rantanen / Draisaitl upside? For our market, Cooley and Wright simply didn’t have the personality
I fucking love having a coach that isn’t just fatly skating around telling guys what to do. He’s out there fucking setting up one T’s after practice.
My whole life I worked with statistics and loved hockey. Recently I returned to watch NHL due the fact Slaf (contryman) got drafted first. Let me tell you its ridiculous he has so little points based purely on luck. Like I have seen at least 5 clear scorring chances he created with battling the puck on borads and passing it to someone most of them beeing anderson :). He seems to be much better despide the fact he wasnt on ice for 6 months!
If this was Therrien, the most coaching that Slaf would get is Therrien in the stairwell at the Brossard complex telling Slaf to “Jus choo da puck” while inhaling back to back cigarettes.
