  1. Islanders really made me think they were going to win with the early PP Goals. Then I was like here we go again with the 2 goal lead. Things started to unravel when I think Clutter took a Penalty at 2 0. Then it was like they were 5 on 3 and tied. Getting a Point is better than nothing. Its like Edmonton was trailing 3 to 1 with me thinking they will manage to get this into OT and Win. Glad to Finally Score 3 Goals heh. All the teams who won had least that many tonight. I don't even know who would be an option to Hire as Coach. Team is better of just taking for the 8th spot in Metro. Hopefully win Draft Lottery like Devils Wink Wink or Rangers supposedly did in the closed room BS. Even a Top 5 LHD who could improve that position would help. They need a 35 to 50 Goal Scoring Winger. Hire a Coach with W's in his Initials maybe ;)?

  2. The roster is almost set in stone for the next few years, there really isn't much that can be done that will significantly impact the team. It's a worse case scenario for us. Check cap friendly and put that reality hat on, we're Foocked!

  3. Iskhakov=shootout specialist. Have u seen him Gil,franzy lite.
Pelech has looked horrible all season. Mayfield for another 7 years is ridiculous. To have clutter and Martin playing over gauthier and fasching is an utter joke.

  4. Wash, rinse, repeat. Same old shit. Give up over 40 shots-get outshot badly again. Isles can't hold 2-0, 3-1 leads. Go to ot-again, lose in ot-again. 4 pts. already blown this season by not holding lead falling in ot. 13 likes western canada and played well. So did b0 back in van. Two pp goals go to waste. The rest-break downs, blown opportunities, dumb penalties. Lack of finishers once again bites isles. 27 can't finish sure goal chance. 26 as well-playing with 44. pk has turned into another failure. And 0 pts. out of seattle/calgary means Lame-0 will not need the hair gel behind the bench anymore. And louzer-ever heard of an ot/s o specialist? And d men got caught napping-once again-got burned on breakaway ot goal by hughes. Same old story once again indeed for TNT national tv audience to enjoy.

  5. Lee and Clutterbuck both committed bad penalties. Perfect excuse to bench them both to send a message. Maybe Dobson too, if you're feeling really ballsy.

  6. Gil, beyond time to fire Lame. This team isnt great, but they are definitely better than the penalties, lack of defensive structure, etc. Get an coach that demands respect.

  7. This is ridiculous. Only thing I can see is blowing up the roster after season but who’s taking washed up vets on long contracts, not much in the prospect pool. Lou did some quick fixes the first two to three seasons that yielded some results but it aged fast. The roster is slow, low scoring with an inconsistent defense, the coaching staff is terrible aside from goaltender coach- Lambert, Maclean, and Houda need to be on unemployment, Lou’s stuck in the 90’s. This team needs so much that its def a few yrs away from playing important games in April

  8. Islanders need goals and better powerplay….. fire Lambert hire Bruce Boudreau …Bruce is known for getting his team to score goals.

  9. Gil you must be getting tired of sounding like a broken record. This team is headed for the abyss and might be the best thing for it. I mean really, who cares if they make the playoffs, the whole idea is to win the cup and if they can’t do that, then who really cares? I figure at this rate they’ll be bottom feeders by the middle of December. Who knows maybe ownership will finally wake up and do something productive for change

  10. What an emotional homecoming for Horvat. It was nice to see him being cheered he majority of Vancouver fans. Even Beauvillier had an extra spring in his step tonight.

  11. Big mistake that they didn’t bench Anders Lee in my opinion. Then he got us another penalty. That guy is bringing our team down! They need to BENCH his ass!

  12. Hate to say it this early but it's time to blow up this roster and get younger/faster.

  13. spot on Gil. not sure what else to say here. Love these players, and this team, and we'll always be rooting for them… But the smugness from Lou is hard to stomach. WE NEED TO MAKE SOME HOCKEY TRADES – NOW.

  14. Gil, I am convinced it's conditioning. They aren't able to keep up with the faster teams in the 3rd period or overtime, so bad penalties result

  15. Gil, I’m always nervous to watch your video the morning after the game, if I didn’t get to watch it😂😂😂.

  16. Good morning team. Couldn't catch the game, but sounds like the same old thing. Started to think, hmmm, so I really need to watch them play. I could probably draw up the script in my head. I have a sure fire way for the Islanders to start winning. I'm surprised I didn't think of this a few games ago. I make it a rule to NEVER bet Islander games on my sports app. It's the whole, bet with your head and not your heart thingy. I think I'm going to start betting on the Islanders opponents to win. With my luck, the Islanders should go undefeated the rest of the season. It's a small price to pay for such success of the team. Nice goal against your old team Bo! Gil, this has got to be getting old for you as well. Still eagerly await each and every show. See you all tomorrow. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  17. Hi Gil! The very least ownership owes fans is a real good young Gm. It’s the very least. However, ownership is very rich and very stupid to say the least. They are under the “Louless I am the hockey master who has won Cups spell”. Clutter and Lee are dreadful! Casey is brutal. Matty is slow as molasses. Engval is a softie. Simon is his softie counterpart. Pellech has been abducted by overseas hockey aliens. He’s not home anymore. Mayfield is always laughing—-must be at Louless for his eye opening joke of a 7 year contract. The guy took a dive this year—-slow and slower—-and 6 more years!! Sorro wakes up in the middle of the night making acrobatic saves he’s so traumatized! Aho is an Aho!! Dobson? Well he’s the only viable piece along with Nelson. I vote to trade Brock and give him a chance at the silverware Gil. He’s been a good Islander and deserves better than this. I bet there are guys laughing “Behind closed doors and cold beers” that this joke of a Gm will extend them. I’m sure of it! Pick all the positives anyone wants out of this losing streak and this soon to be lost season—-we have become a joke yet again! Bo? Happy for him——-this team needed a shake up after the year they failed to make it. Now? It’s too late because those pieces have grown old. Gil—-this once proud franchise and their loyal fans (me included) have seen many glory days, games and years. I blindly and selfishly want to get taken back to being a kid again and win this thing for “Ol times sake” but we deserve better. With all the years and tears of futility—we deserve better. I was there for all those glorious moments—-it pains me to see point blank shots go wide when I remember Trots to Boss and arms up in the air!! This is pure unadulterated garbage!! Louless can take his old style and he knows what to do with it!! What would I do? I’d ask any of the ol timers if they were up for the job of coaching or Gm this team. Any of them—-and reinstall some much needed “Islander Pride”!! With that being said—-watch this guy hire an idiot x Ranger or Devil to patch things up. The Count? Well even Dracula had his day. Take care Gil! Ps -it’s not the losing that hurts so much—-it’s how the NHL is laughing at us—-it’s the Islander Pride getting run to the ground that is unbearable my friend. Take care Gil!! It’s back to warn beer and cold pizza era boys.

  18. 100% as usual, I do get frustrated with the officials inconsistencies. Last night Clutter Buck takes a boarding penalty & the game before Mayfield almost gets his head squished, the Dude leaves his feet about 2 feet in the air and nothing. Do get me wrong, the Isles deserve to lose this game, ugh.

  19. Maybe it’s time to give Ruslan Iskhakov a look. He’s played 12 games with 4 goals 6 assist & 6 penalty minutes. His size is an issue but not so much in November when there’s open ice & less physicality. So now maybe 🤔 as good a time as any, to give him a look?
