  1. Very entertaining game. The Oilers we definitely not the better team tonight. But they were the luckiest team for sure tonight.

  2. Nurse saved empty net goal that would have killed the come back …gotta give him credit he bailed out Connnor turn over.

  3. I must admit, the new coach is sticking to his guns on McDavid and Draisaitl and I am beginning to like it. Mcdavid still needs a better winger than what he’s playing with, but hey, refreshing to see a coach not giving into the pressure of playing them together all the time.

  4. i think the Draisaitl, Ekholm, Bouchard line in OT was so Draisaitl could win the draw (we see the oilers do this on the pk, they send out leon for a draw then change), then once possession is confirmed back in our own zone, ekholm changes for mcDavid

  5. they didn't avoid disaster, they prolonged it. This iteration of the Oilers is showing nothing of energy, heart, determination, or work ethic. To think I contributed to the "contender" talk. They played terrible yet again tonight and if they don't turn things around like right now they won't even make post season. So disheartening.

  6. Bouchard is still making unforced errors! Some serious dumb moves tonight. Thankfully they pulled this out of their arses.

  7. When Yamo 5'8 160 lbs out muscles Bouchard 6'3 195 lbs in the corner is just plain sad. Just pathetic go to the fffff n gym. That should not happen at all. That is soft play, truly soft. You need to be hard on the puck in that situation. I hope the coaching staff uses this as an example of having to work hard on and off the ice.

  8. 18:48 and 7:57 first period…goals 2 and 3 from Seattle in the second period…..HUGE UNFORCED GIVE AWAYS IN HIS OWN ZONE…..Same GUY!!!…Every night, the same story….He is UTTERLY USELESS defending. They can demote goalies and fire coaches all they want. As long as THAT sits on our Blue line no matter what…We will NEVER win a Cup with THAT DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN back there…..Regardless of tonights win.

  9. The ONLY reason Bouchard has assists is because he is surrounded by superior talent….He is a gigantic liability. The sooner they get rid of him the better.

  10. Somebody said a winning streak starts with 1 win. Jay Woodcroft's final game with the Oilers was that win. Good Luck, Woody👍

  11. Third win in a row for the Oil, third loss in a row for Seattle. While they did get a point in the standings we still lead them 4-1 in H2H points in the standings. They are now just 3 points ahead of us and we have 2 games in hand on them. Flames are on a 1 game win streak but everyone between them and 1st place Vegas is currently on losing streaks, but those streaks won't last so we have to just keep winning big games.

  12. I was there live tonight, I can confidently say the roof absolutely blew off the place when Kane got the OT winner and hatty. There seems to be some life back in Edmonton

  13. I think Bouche should play forward and lets make the first line McDavid/Bouchard/Mcleod. Nurse should also play forward with Kane and Derek Ryan. 5 Defence, 13 forwards.

  14. Bouchard (6'3", 191 lbs) being outmuscled by Yamamoto (5'8", 155 lbs) is pretty sad, especially when it leads to a goal against.

  15. Long post with base stats for the Seattle at Edmonton game. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats, not detailed ones that give a foundation for the game. My opinions are at the end of the post. Hope you enjoy.

So the boys pulled it out in OT. I'm not totally sure allowing for some of the stats that they should have but a win is a win. Stats to point out 6 Penalties (1 coincidental) for a total of 12 penalty minutes. The offenders are Hyman, Nuge, Gagner, Kulak, Ryan and Erne. Next up Erne, Hamblin, and Lavoie got very little time and Ryan and Foegele didn't even get 15 minutes including OT time. If you look at D not including OT each should average about 20 minutes (it never happens that way, your top 2 D lines get more but still it's a lot). Your offensive players should be getting 15 minutes plus OT (again, never happens that way but 23:36 for McDavid and 22:58 for Leon is kind of ridiculous allowing for 7:22 for Erne (who got a penalty), 6:44 for Hamblin and 5:52 for Levoie. They aren't cycling well THIS game (last game was different, they cycled a lot better). Okay that was the bad stuff. Finally we still haven't gotten depth scoring (it's hard when your depth is playing as little as they did in this game). The number of blocked shots was great. Twenty-one blocks is a great number (especially as Seattle only got 13 and even that's not bad) (see, it's not all horrible, focus on the good (and the fact they won)). Look, until Kane came alive in the 3rd (and OT) it wasn't looking great. End of the second it was 3-1 for Seattle and no team scored in the first. It's a win. Take care all.

  16. This was such a fun game to watch! I was able to catch it live, and it was just amazing. When Edmonton was down 3-1, I really did consider turning off to just go to sleep, but I decided to stick it out, and boy was I glad that I did. Watching Kane get the hat trick and the overtime game winner really made my night. This game really did remind me why I love Edmonton so much

  17. Coach Kris explained his odd 3man OT lineup. The plan was Leon win the face off & they’d immediately replace Eck with McD. And if Leon lost the face off he’d have adequate D men there to get puck possession back & then replace Eck with McD. The plan worked. They got possession & McD had 2 great shots.
