Histoire mise à jour des Bruins de Boston, édition 2019

Il fallait vraiment que cela soit condensé, sinon cela aurait été une série en trois parties qui n’aurait tout simplement pas cadré avec les autres que j’ai faites jusqu’à présent. 1. Those Ray Bourque stats are just sick. He was extremely close to being traded to my beloved, Flyers. History would have been a lot different had Bob Clarke been able to pull that one off. What a great player.

  2. Did anyone ever watch an old game from the 70s? Was watching a Flyers game from their golden years and i could not watch the whole thing. I was like penalty here, penalty there every 1 or 2 min and of course, nothing was being called cuz you know, old rules. And my god these guys are slow, the goalies have terrible technique and so on. Nah, no nostagia there for me.

Btw, did you know that if those big bad Bruins or those broad street bullies of the 70's were in the league today, they would both be the smallest and lightest team in the league…

  3. You forgot to mention 231 irrelevant wins of Don Cherry other than giving him a way too big mouth

  4. Just curious, what's your deal with Craig Janney? The guy wasn't a hall of famer but nearly a point a game player for his career. He was decent.

  5. Surprised Shannon didn't say that Bruce Cassidy is already at 117 wins in the regular season in 2.5 years as a benchmark.

  6. Bruins were 6 for 20 in Stanley Cup final appearances all-time. Any thoughts, comments, theories, hypotheses, axioms on that ?

  7. Note to Shannon:
when you get to Montreal, just use 2 boards.
Don't be angry, upset, or bitter.
Don't throw away valuable information to 'conserve space'.
Montreal is the most storied franchised, with an awesome history, best in the league.
2 boards baby, just do it.

  8. Claude Julien once walked into the garage I worked in Ottawa asking for a safety on his SUV. The story is that he signed with NJ and he had to give his car back to Montreal because he had a supplied car in his Montreal contract. He was still a Canadien employee until NJ signed him.

I didn't know that when a coach gets fired. The team can decide if they are ok with him working for an other team. That's why it's bizar to see the move from Boston to Montreal in a few days like it did.

  9. Great video. I especially liked the rehashing of the trades over the years. I will need to check out the Joe Thornton trade video so I can trace how awful it’s turned out over time. Also, can’t forget that Rick “Nifty” Middleton’s #16 sweater is hanging from the rafters at TD Garden.

  10. I really love the video but you could have probably put the Milan Lucic trade up there to just for the hell of it

  11. Early morning, half asleep Shannon is probably best and funniest Shannon

  12. i have been watching hockey the last three years, and only the last year and a half picked the bruins as my team. This and the other video were very useful in learning the clubs history and who i had taken on. Thank you
