And all things are right in the world
Can we now remove josh anderson from the top line? Not that he’s not good, he’s able to forecheck really well but he hasn’t been able to finish chances that are given to him by anyone. I feel like he could be as effective on the third line than where he is now.
Put Zuk and CC back together.
Move newhook to the second line.
Move Sean to the second line with slaf and newhook.
Dvo can center the third line.
(Controversial but …) Give gally a chance on the first line because otherwise it’s just gonna be Josh Anderson on that line again.
The silver lining to this is that they’ve done a good job so far this year at keeping games close; our record is kept afloat by Caufield’s overtime success and the team’s lack of quit.
Our 5v5 play finally rebounded a bit last night, I doubt it will be as bad as it has been lately, but I also expect our powerplay to slow back down. There hasn’t really been any changes to it aside from personnel development, and we’ve all seen how bad it can get.
If Dach was still around my tune might be different, but given the situation I’m hoping for a top-10 pick by the end of the year. Let them have close games, tough wins, tough losses. Maybe some lottery luck pushes us to a top 5 pick again, maybe not.
Ole?
Sorry not sorry. One last year with a top 5 pick and I think we’re good.
Chill…before the season is done Josh Roy will be here, next year Dach and who knows who else will be here…we’re in good shape.
They talked about this on On Jase last week: essentially since we’re a rebuilding team it’s good that we win in OT because it’s a sign we don’t give up and have character. If we were supposed to be good (take Toronto for example) then yes it would be a bad sign but for now just enjoy the ride
We should have traded Anderson when he had some worth.
It feels like every year, we’re last in something. This is a funny one to be last in.
Yay! We’re the best at being the worst!
Seriously, I feel we’ve been more competitive this year. We’ve been in most games and are just finding a way to come up short. It’s a small step but it does feel like an improvement. Hopefully next year we start actually winning some of these close games and thus move into being more of a bubble team for the playoffs rather than a perennial contender for a top pick.
The nice thing about being in a rebuild year is I can still root for the team to win but look at this headline and be like « Oh well, better shot at Mack! » Literally no lose
Ask any driver. Any real driver. Winnings winning
Man…. we’re worse than Sharks and Hawks. Unbelievable.
Nature is healing
The team cares about fans so much they are now dedicated to providing free hockey whenever possible!
