What i would change with McLeod is how he skates, he needs to maybe stop skating in straight lines and maybe use his speed and size to win horizontal battles in the offensive zone, and play more stop and start in the neutral zone. Don't over commit to the initial zone exit and race to be first to mid ice in a defensive position. Be more capable of giving 2nd wave counterattack to the wingers and less lead the way, let a guy like gagner or Ryan transition the neutral zone and create that "forward on the rush" effect from offpuck transition passes.
The bottom 6 need to contribute more on scoring. I like to see McDavid and Drisaitl rest more when they are 2+ goals ahead. Give other lines more ice time.

Lavoie just doesn’t have the foot speed for the nhl yet. Maybe one day but he’s got some work to do.
