  1. Sure would have LOVED to watch this game here in the states, can't imagine why a GLOBAL series game was REGIONALLY blacked out. Good job NHL 👍.

  2. Leafs beat the refs and the Red Wings. The Leafs completely deserved that game.

  3. I'm so disappointed as a Wings fan. Our powerplay has been abysmal, and we can't play a full 60 minutes.

  4. Red Wings aren't a Play-Off team. Too many mistakes, penalties and no consistency in any area of their game. PP has died. PK hasn't been great. Lyon was solid and left out to dry in the 3rd. Wings need to stop thinking they are good enough to sit on leads haha. I also think Seider has been poor so far this season.

  5. looks like as the season starts shaking itself out, we have another 'pretender' starting to expose themselves… Wings just keep coming up short. They will remember these games in April, when they miss the playoffs by a point or 2.

  6. It's a shame Leafs will have to trade Marner to afford re-signing Nylander, but it's still worth it.

  7. Took the Leafs 45 minutes to find their legs but once they did, it was all Leafs. Nylander putting on a show in Sweden. Nice to have Leaf hockey back after a week off.

  8. Finally we get to see the world's best league in sweden at a time that is not in the middle of the night.
it was a more fun match yesterday but the last period was fun today.
However, I've been a Detroit fan since the 90s, so it's sad that they lost both games.
But fun for Nylander with 90+ family and friends who were there.

  9. The Canucks had a stretch recently where they played three straight teams that were on 2nd half of back to backs. Every team goes through it.

  10. Red wings are a f**king joke again. Same f**king thing every year. Yzerman and Lalonde are making this team a joke. Ilitch should sell this team.

  11. I only caught the 3rd period, and for most of that, Toronto was in Detroit's zone. The Nylander/JT/Bertuzzi line was buzzing. Nylander is having a crazy year!

  12. Not often that we get our own review video, especially after a great comeback win! The Nylander game!

  13. Pathetic. Done trying to be hype. Our good record is from the good start and it's been abysmal since then. What is this defence? It's fucking laughable. This was supposed to be the year we made a good push but we're a quarter of the way through and the SAME demons have plagued us. The only difference is our scoring from the last few years was garbage and now it's only garbage half the time. By the time this team is "ready" this "core" will be over the hump and in decline in production and it'll be time for another rebuild

  14. Isn't it one more point on Sunday for Nylander to tie McJesus with 17 straight to start to the season? (best of this century)

  15. These past two games are evidence that Husso is not entirely to blame for the Wings' struggles lately. Their defense has been absolutely atrocious no matter who's in net. 4 of the goals by Ottawa yesterday on Reimer, including the OT winner, and all 3 goals from Toronto today on Lyon were from open shots at point blank or the slot area. Every game lately they have been miserable at keeping the front of the net clear and giving up rebounds, odd man rushes, and breakaways. Constantly taking penalties at the most inopportune times has also gotten them kicked in the ass. Unless they fix themselves right now, they can kiss their playoff chances goodbye.

  16. Not really much of a disadvantage playing back-to-back considering there's no travel and the Leafs sat for a week before today.

  17. I was at the game tonight. I've gotta say, Bertuzzi was a gamebreaker tonight, it felt like he was sparking the team for a comeback win, he was truly buzzing all night, when most of the leafs looked flat 1st & 2nd period. Also, the game winner by Tavares was set up fully thanks to Bertuzzis effort behind the net, and an amazing tight pass to Tavares.

    Great and fun game.

  18. It seems like the Leafs get a too many men on the ice penalty every game. Hockey guy, can you look into if they're getting close to some record, like most consecutive games with one or most to start a year or something. I'm sure they've broken some record.

  19. HEY SHANNON ! I AM AT WORK WHEN THE GAMES ARE ON , SO THANKS FOR YOUR USUAL GREAT REVIEWs IN THE GLOBAL SERIES !

  20. As a cats fan: yeah there was no great outcome here but hey at least this loss for Detroit keeps us at #2

  21. Not sure this would have had the same outcome if the Red Wings were rested but very glad at the overall result.

  22. Willy will get a hat trick next game 100%
Playing in Sweden his home country in front of his people
And Playing vs the wild which he’s typically great against

  23. Are you watching the leaf game on Sunday. Maybe record it and watch it later or get bear to watch it and fill you in on what happened

  24. Knies has huge upside. So great to see his potential.. Willy has it going on ! His best year yet!

  25. There's no universe where Sammy or any other goalie ks having that Raymond shot. It was placed to perfection and it was shot from a place where he had the option to pass. So the goalie had to be aware of both and if it was a worse shot Samsonov would have had it.

That one is entirely on the team defence, no coverage and more importantly no contact on the shooter.
