I think there’s a way to move Klingberg as the cash out to get Zadorov under the cap.

I don't mind Zadorov, but will insist not overspending. I like the idea of bringing another D in now rather than the trade deadline. D usually need several months to acclimate.
Zadorov is not Jesus.. he's second pairing at best. The deal needs Tanev inclusion.
The likelihood of Zadorov signing next year is slim…. He'll be wanting 4m plus no doubt.

Zadorov would be great. but not sure Calgary takes the leafs 3rd and a 2nd is too much. Paying Klingberg 4 mil on the bottom paring is tough to swallow. Lastly Mats Sundin is the Barry Sanders of hockey. we will never really know how great he could have been, just constantly being saddled with bad teams and horrible linemates.
A hard NO on acquiring Kane. he's coming off of hip surgery, he was a liability on the Rangers last year, he's awful defensively and he will be rusty as hell plus another year older. Tree should be smart enough not to sign him.

I agree with my fellow Italian Mike. Salming followed by Matts were the best two Swedes in Leafs history to this point. I was pissed when Matts decided to leave us with nothing and signed with Vancouver.
Leafs need more than Zadorov. This teams cupboards are bare thanks to Dubas.
I am not a regular commenter,I support every single Canadian team,Toronto included.If I was Toronto I would push for this move.Tanev is another option,but the physical nature of Zadorov's game is exactly what Toronto needs right now
