Kolosov coming over in February we’re fine if he’s claimed.
Start the year as a 3rd sting goalie.
Go over a month without playing any games.
Get sent down for conditioning
Play 4 periods before getting hurt
Get off IR still play no games
Go to waivers
Do they think he’ll get claimed?
Won’t lose sleep if he gets claimed. When Kolosov gets here we will have Hart, Ersson, Petersen, Kolosov and we also drafted two goalies in the last draft. I just don’t see any future for him here in the org and they delayed waiving him for a long time and nothing really changed.
Probably clears, don’t think there is a team desperate enough for a back-up goalie who has barely played so far this year (and need to use a roster spot on him).
Hopefully, this is the first of a few goaltender transactions.
No one is making a claim on him. He will clear. Should have been done at the start of the year.
If he gets claimed he goes Michael Leighton with that team then loses in finals
I’m actually curious if the reason Danny B waited so long to waive him was because Briere wanted Sandstrom’s perceived conditioning to be way down as a result of sitting him out so long (I’m sure the injury in Lehigh doesn’t help this case), that no team would be willing to claim him because then they’d have to put him straight into their lineup. If so, pretty savvy imo.
