  1. Does anyone have any pain pills? I’m running out after my 2nd team oilers also got clapped by a Florida based team

  2. Call up Lysell and give him a three or four game tryout to see if he can score at the NHL level. Allow Poitras to join the World Junior Hockey Championship during the Christmas holidays.

  3. I guess I'll still have to adjust to how good we are. Forget that the only way from a record basically has to be down. Forget Bergy and Krech for a second, even. We lost less than a quarter of our games so far, and failed to score points just once.
Do I take a W over games like this one? Obviously. But holy cow, our team is ridiculous and I love it.

  4. Two things.
First, the next guy who tries to "flip" the puck out of the zone should get benched. The past few games I've seen too many attempts to just flip the puck in the air to get it out just to see it intercepted. It's so frustrating to watch.

Second, Lohrei has to go. Get sent down for more maturing. He was responsible for two goals against. Missed assignments. I see the offensive skill but he is a huge liability on defense.

  5. It's been shown time and time again NHL refs love John Cooper and Steven Stamkos. The Bruins need to beat this team by multiple goals, because if it's close Tampa will get the big calls. Think back to the brutal officiating in '18 against the Lightning in the second round, especially in games 3 and 4 in Boston. Cooper is a politician who knows how to work the refs to his advantage. It's going to be an issue if we see these d-bags in the playoffs.

  6. As an unfortunate Florida resident, I can confirm Tampa has the most fair-weather fans. I've been to games in Tampa before they won the cup, with 70% Bruins fans.

  7. I'll be completely honest, the amount of games so far into this season that should have either gone to OT or be a Bruins loss due to the 3RD period collapses is only due to the goaltending, but Swayman and Ullmark cannot save the B's every game, especially in the playoffs, and they shouldn't have to rely on that either. Monty is an amazing coach, but this cannot keep happening, whilst it is solely not on him, it does lay on him to fix these kinds of issues which he has just not done. Blame the refs, or blame a multitude of other things in the end it falls upon the coach to make the changes needed to fix weaknesses, and up to the players to put those changes into practice, neither of which seems to be happening.

Benching Lohrei made sense, he did not have a good night on really either end of the ice, Lauko and Steen can be understood as well, but benching Poitras made 0 sense, he was as always solid defensively and was really energized at the start of the game. Leaving your team with only 9 forwards and 5 Defensemen without EVER giving those 4 players at least 1-2 shifts so the other 14 players can get some rest is a baffling move by Monty.

This game is a standout so far this season just like the Montreal game but for the opposite reasons. Not being able to play around the refereeing, not adjusting at all to the opposing team, and making baffling decisions on and off the ice, this game represents the absolute worst you expect to see from the players and the coaching staff. Hopefully they all learn from this, because you cannot be repeating this same routine this often, since eventually it will do more harm the longer it goes on, and the people who will pay for it the most are usually the rookies and the goalies. Definitely going too need to see a strong next game from the B's.
