@Oilers d'Edmonton

  1. They have to draft their next star goalkeeper, like the Rangers, Islanders, etc. Other than John Gipson in Anaheim, there is a shortage of top goalie’s available-Unless your willing to trade Leon.

  2. McDavid is being WASTED in Edmonton. Generational talent, the things he could do for himself and the sport in general in a better market is crazy to think about. Such a shame. Also sad to see goalies being blamed when it's an obvious defense issue and huge slumps from just about everyone on the team.

  3. Pickard DID NOT struggle. The Edmonton Journal gave him a deserved 6 player grade which is “above average”. When you’ve got overpaid Nurse getting a 3 and Ekholm a 4, you know where the problems really are

  4. Yes; yes it is lost. And the Oilers are done as a franchise. McDavid and Draisaitl both need to start making plans to play elsewhere because neither is ever going to win anything here.

  5. The Oilers era of McDavid and Draisaitl has ended and it’s time to get in Asset Management mode. At the very least Draisaitl needs to be traded before the deadline and hope he waives his no trade clause. With only one year left on his contract where his next one will bring his per year value up to McDavid and Matthews territory, he is not coming back. These last two years were supposed to be it for the team and it hasn’t been close. Having no trade clauses for so many players is also an incredible hindrance now and the Hyman and Nuge contracts will turn into poison pills sooner than expected. Don’t even need to mention the Campbell or Nurse contracts. Go for as many first round picks as you can. I know they’ll screw that up too but there’s really no way out of this hell that they’ve created for themselves and need to find a way to hit the reset button so the team isn’t set back 10 years. What a waste of talent.

  6. They are cooked for this season. They need to get it in their heads to actually play some D. They have the skill but their awesome run last year convinced them that they can simply outgun anyone without worrying about their own end.
    It's not the goalies' fault.

  7. THE OILERS ARE HORRIBLE… NO DEFENCE, AND GOALTENDING IS A JOKE.. 25 MILLION TO JACK CAMPBELL? FIRE KEN HOLLAND… AND COACH COCKNOB IS NOT THE ANSWER EITHER…

  8. BRINGING UP THE AHL COACH WAS THE CHEAPEST WAY OF TELLING THE FANS, WE ARE DOING SOMETHING… OBVIOUSLY, COACH COCKNOB IS NOT THE ANSWER…

  9. As a very unbiased Canuck fan I can honestly say I would not take McDavid straight up for Hughes. Hell, I don't think I'd take him straight up for Pettersson either. At least EP back checks and plays some damn good defense. A year ago? Sure. No doubt. But today? Not a chance. And not just because of his slump. It's the makeup of his character. Seems very sulky. I think I'd rather have Driasietle or however you spell it.

  10. Couldnt disagree more about needing a save…they need some solid not erratic defence….Pickard i thought played good considering the stress of being out in this mess….

  11. Patrick sat out the game because it was the one year anniversary of his father's death😢🎉
