Conversations like these are exactly why I disagree with anyone who says he's untradeable due to just how high his value is for the leafs the absolute potential for sign and trades with this guy could be ridiculous, I completely agree he is the best player on the team rn bar none. However the team has glaring holes and if you can't keep him either I don't trust the rest of the team to get a cup this year anyways so personally in this rare scenario I think it's hetter to actual trade the best player on your team regardless of how sacrilegious that may be

Rangers or Kings? Neither of them have any space left afaik. I don't want to sound rude, but as a King's fan, but at the moment the Kings don't need nylander. The Kings are the 2nd highest goals per game in the NHL and spread the scoring around the teams. Don't get me wrong, I think Nylander is a great player, he obviously got a good scoring touch. But the Kings aren't going to trade away any of their top 6 for a bit of extra scoring when they are 2nd in goals per game in the entire league (so far). And they can't afford him either.

As, a Kings fan, sure, that'd be cool, but I don't like his price. I also really like what the Kings have going right now, and I wouldn't want to change anything up. We'd probably lose a lot of our depth as well, and our depth is our greatest strength at the moment.
WOW!!!! 20 games and he's already better than the rest of the leafs!!!!! get a grip. If he ends up with 135 pts then he can walk. who ever signs him will regret the last 4 years of his contract. He has played his whole career at an $8 million -$8.5 million player. Suddenly he plays a great 20 games and he's the next McDavid. Don't get me wrong I love Willy with the Leafs. But if he wants over $10 million he needs to play an entire season like this (including playoffs). I've seen Willy play a great stretch of games before only to disappear for 8-10 games at a time and become a huge defensive liability at the same time. Plus he's a limelight guy. In TO he is king right now. In LA or NY most people wouldn't even know his name.
