In an interview with NJ Advance Media earlier this month, Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald said 24-year-old captain is on his own return timeline. “With Nico, you know what, he’s on his timeframe,” he said. “We’re just going to let him go about his business, and when he’s ready, he’ll tell us.”
Also from Lindy – “It was good to see him out there,” Ruff said. “It gave the guys a little bit of renewed energy just seeing Nico. We hope to see him again at practice tomorrow but I don’t really have a timeline. … We’ll see how practice goes.”
Looks like we’re going to remain shorthanded for now.

How does Timo go from not missing a shift in Winnipeg to a “game time decision” the next game and then to missing (at least) three games in a row???

Very disappointed in Timo this year. He’s not nearly the physical shot producing power forward we thought we were getting. And a true power forward is a role we desperately need filled.
It’s like Trouba made him change his game after coming to the Met
