So the leak was accurate. It looks fine, but I’m not going to rush out to buy it….especially if its from Fanatics.
I think they did a good job making them look retro for 2 teams that are born in the modern era.

I don’t see the winter classic patches on the jerseys on the shop… think that’s intentional? Like do I also need to buy my own patches?!

Honestly I am not a fan. We did a great job on our RRs the last few years but this just doesn’t do it for me.

I’m whelmed and on the fence about buying. Part of me wants to wait, but part of me is worried that scalpers will buy them all up for ebay and blanks will be $250 in a month.
Of all the things they could do they decided to do the most non VGK thing. This jersey is so plain and meh. I will still get it to keep the collection complete but it’s ugly. I might wait for a sale.

Listen, it’s not my favorite sweater but the more I see of it the more it grows on me. I really like the flourish on the numbers and the « V », and to me it kind of feels reminiscent of a knight’s tunic (not sure if that’s what they were going for but if their marketing team is in the comments they can use that for free).
Am I gonna rush out to buy it? No. But it also could have been much, much worse.
I’ll get my knight-card face style jersey one day. I’ll get it one day…
