    *GOOD*

    – Habs definitely came to play in this. It was sloppy at times but really a game where it seemed everyone locked in and fought out there. Good timing for it as well, that was a physical game.

    – Newhook x2. Excellent play on both using his speed to get space and then finishing.

    – Monty excellent. Couple of huge stops, honestly if that rumour is true about a deal with Edmonton they can honestly take a hike unless it’s massive (which you won’t get a massive haul for monty) the upside in keeping Monty over trading him for some middle 6 “prospect” and a pick? Nah.

    – Underrated play was Jake Evans setting up Newhook for the goal but the defensive play in the neutral zone that made that happen.

    – Ylonen with a great feed on Guhle’s goal. He deserves top 6 minutes. Anytime he even has a half chance or a full one he takes it every single time almost. Something that’s needed on this team.

    – Guhle excellent.

    – Struble was outstanding to me. Not only for rocking a somewhat of a pleky turtleneck but good going forward and smart defensively.

    – Suzuki

    *BAD*

    – Nah it isn’t snakebit when you miss basically an empty net in the third to take the lead. I didn’t see a replay of it so maybe some deflection but snakebit is when you just are hitting posts or don’t score after a few chances not the entire year. The entire year is called bad finishing and Josh Anderson is just that.

    – I still found the defensive zone coverage to be a bit of the defensive equivalent of spray and pray. Nobody really seemingly taking a man and just a free for all of hope and vibes.

    – Barron I found a bit soft and out of place tonight.

    – Found Kovacevic the same as Barron.

    – Still feels even with a 2 goal lead that it was never secure. A lot of that isn’t down to individual play but team structure.

    – Caufield has gone super cold. Still has looks one is hopefully coming soon.

    I liked the game from Suzes’s line with Hook and Gally. Slaf was really noticeable in the first period, but kinda fizzled out. Good games from Newhook, Evans and Guhle.

    Rough night for Kovy. Anderson and Caufield still snakebitten.

    I hate 10pm games, but at least this time we won in Anaheim AND in regulation, finally.When RDS showed Patches, Subban, Markov, Dale Weise, fucking Danny Briere and Ducks Koivu, I felt very old. Shout out to Dustin Tokarski.

    Favourite thing about that game is we didn’t look lost out there. Came out playing hard and finished the game playing hard.

    Nice win but I want some CC goals, I truly do not understand why he was on the 3rd line tonight, I really think he needs to be back on a line with Suzuki, he had 5 shots which is good, but still none of them are going in, seems a little snake-bitten right now.

    I was at the game tonight, the rink is great, and the game was too.
    Caufield has his looks but he’s so or predictable. The goalies are always aware where he is, so he needs his perfect snipes but he’s not hitting those this year.
    What a game by Sam tonight. Only McTavish, what a beast, could solve him.
    Speaking of McTavish, the Ducks have a gem. Carlsson wasn’t that visible as I expected I but that pass on their first PP *chef kiss »
    Matheson can be so good and so bad all within the same shit. But his goal was huge.

    On a west coast vacation and had the pleasure of seeing this one live. The home fans were great, cheering their team on/booing the refs. Last game (live) for me was the win against Philly last year in OT, next game is VS LA this Saturday. If they win that one I expect you all to chip in on me following the team around for the rest of the season 😜
