The Oilers are fun to watch, always lots of goals and scoring chances.
5:33 there are 4 Oilers staring at a guy alone at the top of their crease as he bangs home a goal. And Edmonton fans and media continue to yap about "goaltending". The Oilers problems have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with their revolving door in the crease. I would have thought people would get it by now, just like firing a coach every season hasn't worked either. They have no idea what the problem is they just keep doing the same irrelevant things expecting a new result.
Ok Edmonton’s defence is pathetic and their goaltender is mediocre end of story.

The Carolina 5th goal by Necas was some terrible defense. That look like the pick up game we just played, some absolute passengers in the defensive zone for the oilers, that includes their biggest and best players. Mcdavid and Leon do not put in the effort in their own end.

Naive question: why are Oilers so bad this season?
This is the Canes I've been waiting see all season. Wish they could put these kind of games together against teams that are currently playing well. Loses some of it's luster when it's against an ailing oilers team.
The video review for possible offsides is a really bad thing. It ruins the flow of the game. What’s next? Allow reviews after a goal for a faceoff violation, icing, too many men on the ice, did someone crosscheck or slash someone five minutes before the goal that wasn’t seen by the ref…Heck, why not review every possible missed call after every goal. It absolutely does take away from the flow. The linesmen are doing their best, and to erase a goal because a player was an inch offside on video review is ludicrous.
Keep the review for goaltender interference or knocking a puck in on a high stick, or kicking, or batting the puck in with your hand—anything related to the shot that goes in. But allowing review of something that may have happened two minutes earlier is just bad for the game. If it was close enough that the linesman thought it was onside, just let it go.
Just standing around, not moving people in front of our net, not back checking to our own end. Having Paul Coffee as the D manager is going to suck even more than with Manson. He’s telling our group to activate more when our forwards to come back to our zone! Going to be a nightmare the rest of the way.
