Marino and Toffoli seem to be taking ownership, that's step one from players. Everyone is embarrassed and frustrated – hope they show up angry against CBJ. They need those 2 pts, anything less could see this snowball even more.

This reminded me of the lopsided playoff games that they lost vs Carolina and games 1 & 2 vs the Rangers. They get rattled and it looks too easy to rattle them at the moment.
The good news is this team is still loaded with talent. And it's early. They can get that confidence back just as quickly as they lost it. The sooner the better.
The "it's early" arguments have to end. This team is shockingly below all reasonable expectations. Goaltending is awful. Defense is putrid. And the system of play is not working. This is a bad team right now and if drastic changes aren't made, they will be completely out of playoff contention by February.

all jokes aside this is Fitz's team and the amount of mistakes he made during summer is astonishing! Signing Meier – 1st, letting Tatar go – a dynamic 20 goal scorer who only got paid $3M – 2nd mistake, letting M. Wood go – a dynamic 4th liner and 15-20 goal scorer!!, a very good PK playler and a guy who could hit – 3rd and a HUGE mistake!!! Now our 4th line is pathetic!!!! AND YOU LOT COMPLAINED ABOUT M. WOOD AND NOW COMPLAIN THAT NOBODY HITS ON THE DEVILS TEAM!!!! You just dont let this kind of player like Wood go! Just dont! Fitz brought players like Tierney, Nosek- players who would not even make AHL now!!! All money you spend now on Tierney and Nosek could have been used to sign M. Wood!!!He gets paid in Colorodo less than what Devils paid him!!! Fitz burned 1 year of entry level contract of L. Hughes – a player who still should not be in NHL – he is still too young and needs to bulk up! These are just major mistakes by Fitz…
Those complaining about team injuries – just look at Colorado. They are missing Landeskog – their CAPTAIN and a player who is much better than Hischier, they are missing A. Lehkonen – a player who is better than Hischier. I just dont see Colorado complain. And Colorado are doing just fine. Why?))))
Damn, I get we're down Nico and Timo, but that wasn't even close to looking how we played against the Rangers or Pens. In this one, not only were the usual suspects in defense and goal tending looking bad (and I usually stick up for V), but the offense was also bad. Everything looked terrible. I'm not sure if it's a coaching thing or the players, but every time they showed Lindy he was just standing there with zero emotion, and the players from a fans perspective looked like they could care less also. We can see Jack getting pissed, Marino and Toffoli owning up to it here in the post game, but where's the leadership from players like Palat, Haula, Dougie and Bratt? Need to get angry, let's go! Pull it together and string 3 wins together here.
