Whole situation is very weird to me, especially since the social media team was talking him up being great with the kids at practices. Hopefully they address it head on instead of beating around the bush

Here’s a really stupid scenario brought to you by too much Thanksgiving bourbon— Has this been a long con by Corey Perry?
Imagine— He’s hated and been hated by the Blackhawks for years, he never got over 2015. So in an effort to get signed here, he’s cultivated a years long reputation of being a great teammate and locker room guy. Fast forward to 2023, he saw the writing on the wall in Tampa and knew he’s playing days were coming to an end. It was the perfect time to execute his plan. He approaches TB’s GM and asks to have his rights traded to Chicago, to be a role model to the kids and a big part of the team’s culture. After trust was gained, he gives Kyle Davidsons car a Chicago Sunroof or something and rides out of town, laughing his ass off at the chaos he leaves behind.
But seriously I hope it’s nothing serious and if they choose to keep it in house, that’s fine. Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of him here.

This feels like more than just being late for practice or the bus, etc. A singular incident like that seemingly wouldn’t extend beyond one game. He has had such a positive impact on the team’s compete and handling of adversity. I hope he comes back. We need him to help weather this tough season.

Sounds to me like maybe he ran his mouth a bit too much probably about the poor performance lately and was asked to step away for awhile. Idk, all speculation at this point.

I hope it’s trade related and nothing serious beyond that. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want him to be traded, but the alternative reasons for him being mia are not great.
